*Children Education Allowance* Children Education Allowance reimbursement can only be claimed for the two eldest surviving children (exception: twins/multiples). The reimbursement amount for the Children Education Allowance will be Rs. 6000 per year (fixed) for each child. To claim, the GDS must submit a certificate issued by the Head of the Institution for the claimed period/year. Even if the child fails a class, the reimbursement of the Children Education Allowance will not be stopped. The upper age limit for children with disabilities is 22 years. For other children, the age limit will be 20 years or until they pass the 12th grade, whichever is earlier. There will be no minimum age limit. Reimbursement of the Children Education Facilitation Allowance will be applicable to children from Nursery to 12th grade, including 11th and 12th grades offered by schools or junior colleges affiliated to education boards and universities.
