THIS IS A MANDATORY UPDATE FOR ALL USERS
You MUST upgrade before 19:00 UTC on Mar 11th 2024, or you WILL be SPORK'd off the main chain.
This release fixes, properly the bug in v2.4.4.X which causes a blockchain height stall relating to orphans and superblocks and was fixed temporarily in v2.4.5.Xm (2.4.6.X was a testing only release)
This release enables the classic SPORK8 from Dash which enforces masternode payments in every block. It will activate on Mar 11th 2024 19:00 UTC. In preparation for this time, getblocktemplate() has been updated in advance to set "masternode_payments_enforced": true in the masternode stanza - consensus checks will only be enforced on SPORK8 activation
This release also bumps the protocol version to 70313 - nodes/wallets running versions of the code less than this will be SPORK'd off from the main chain when the SPORK activates.
Masternode timers have been relaxed, WATCHDOG_TIMER_EXPIRED is confirmed to be functionally equivalent to ENABLED for our masternodes to be in, for the avoidance of confusion, once the network settles on a consensus of protocol verison 70313 no nodes will enter a state of WATCHDOG_TIMER_EXPIRED DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT this is the last time you will see it 🙂
Some updates to seed node definitions, which are still hard coded into the binaries, rather than queried from DNS.........
All wallet holders / node operators / mining pool operators / Masternode operators / Exchange operators start to upgrade from today. This will upgrade the network to protocol version 70313, whilst continuing to process blocks as normal.

We're excited to announce the successful launch of a major update! It wasn't the smoothest ride, but thanks to our incredible community and the dedication of Foztor, we've ironed out the kinks and stabilized the network. Deposits and withdrawals are now open on exchanges!
Building For the Future with a 5% DEVFEE
Based on community voting, a 5% DEVFEE has been implemented. Rest assured, we won't dump coins. Instead, we'll use the DEVFEE for strategic activities like:
Opening masternodes
Providing liquidity pools
Funding future projects
Every DEVFEE coin will directly benefit the network and market. We'll keep you updated on all activities.
When funding projects or engaging in any other activities, this will be communicated in advance. Coins will not be sold via market orders. Instead, we will either access the OTC market or place limit orders, which will allow the community to purchase coins before the upcoming listing or integration.

v2.4.4.2This version introduces a DevFee at 5% as voted on by the Discord community in Jan 2024.
THIS IS A MANDATORY UPDATE FOR ALL USERS
Implementing a DevFee changes the block reward outputs, and thus creates a consensus change. In order to permit a smooth introduction of this change we will deploy via a 2 phased SPORK approach. This consensus change is reflected in an incremental increase of the protocol version to 70312, implemented in this and subsequent releases.
All wallet holders / node operators / mining pool operators / Masternode operators / Exchange operators start to upgrade from today, Jan 16th 2024. This will upgrade the network to protocol version 70312, whilst continuing to process blocks as normal prior to height 1065649 (this has been validated to work on the community pool)
The DevFee will implement after Block Height 1065649 - roughly 19:00 UTC on Tuesday Jan 30th 2024.
getblocktemplate() will introduce a foundation stanza, which pools should use to fill the block correctly:

At 19:00 UTC on Feb 1st 2024 SPORK_15 will activate. This will disconnect nodes/wallets running lower versions of the code than 2.4.4.2 - the first public release to implement protocol version 70312.Mining Pool operators who wish to test our their functionality please contact me.

The results are in, and nearly 100% of voters believe that DEVFEE is necessary and timely. This was a close battle between the conservative (5%) and aggressive (15%) approaches.
We understand that we must first demonstrate the effectiveness of our management, both in terms of our use of funds and in terms of our execution of our plans. This is the main concern of the community, and it is the main source of their fear.
As a DAO, we are committed to complete transparency with the community. Not a single vote was inflated, even though we know that it would have been easy to do so with only 8 votes.
For this reason, we plan to hold similar votes after the first global integration, and after each subsequent integration. This will allow the community to either increase or decrease DEVFEE, depending on the stage of development of the coin, specific plans, and their trust in the DAO.
The implementation of DEVFEE is planned for the end of the month. All participants will be notified in advance, and there will be time for a smooth transition. The next post will provide specific information about the update, as well as information about the management of funds.

We plan to make many small, inexpensive, but very interesting integrations, listings, etc.
We are interested in first increasing the price in small steps, so that it will be much easier to collect money for a listing on a top-tier exchange later.
The DAO does not plan to sell coins to the market on a daily or other basis, and to push the price down, but will accumulate them until the collection for a specific integration and listing is completed.
In the process of collecting for a particular activity, so that the coins are not just lying around, we will most likely open masternodes on them (which in itself will improve the stability of the network and give us approximately 60% annual returns (excluding reinvestment) and possibly open a liquidity pool on XEGGEX https://xeggex.com/liquiditypools. This is especially relevant if the community chooses a low % devfee.
The list of masternodes will be announced and open for tracking.
When the required amount of coins is accumulated, we will inform the community about it, and either go to the OTC market or place a limit order for sale on the exchange. I think many people will want to buy coins without slippage and in the required quantity, before the upcoming listing, etc., taking into account the future growth.

Komodo Wallet
Thanks to everyone for their participation; the vote has concluded.
The DEV team at Komodo has asked that we hold off on any funding; we will get the green light once they have completed a comprehensive network test.
The final integration is expected to take 3–4 weeks, but will be communicated as things progress.
