🇷🇺🇮🇷 Telephone conversations took place today between the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, and the Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Brigadier General Mohammad Ashtiani.
During the negotiations, current issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation were discussed and opinions on regional security issues were exchanged.
The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Army General Sergei Shoigu, noted that Moscow and Tehran are continually strengthening their joint efforts in the interests of building a truly equal multipolar world.
The parties emphasized their commitment to the fundamental principles of Russian-Iranian relations, including unconditional respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is confirmed in the Grand State Treaty being prepared for signing between the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The telephone conversation took place in a friendly atmosphere and became the next step in strengthening strategic relations between the two countries.
