What is the Simple Present Tense? The simple present tense describes actions or states that happen regularly, habitually, or are generally true. It's the most basic tense in English, and we use it to talk about things that are happening now, or that happen on a regular basis. How we use the verb? • Regular Verbs: These verbs form their simple present tense by simply adding "-s" or "-es" to the base form of the verb for third-person singular (he, she, it).   * Example: walk -> walks, play -> plays, watch -> watches • Irregular Verbs: These verbs have unique forms for the simple present tense. They don't follow a predictable pattern.   * Example: go -> goes, have -> has, do -> does How We Use the Simple Present Tense 1. Regular Habits and Routines:   * I eat breakfast every morning.   * She goes to the gym three times a week.   * They study English on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 2. Facts and General Truths:   * The sun rises in the east.   * Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.   * Dogs are mammals. 3. Permanent States and Conditions:   * I live in New York City.   * She loves to dance.   * He works as a doctor. 4. Expressing Opinions, Beliefs, or Feelings:   * I think it's a great idea.   * She believes in honesty.   * He feels happy today. 5. Giving Instructions or Directions:   * Turn left at the corner.   * Open the door.   * Please wait here. 6. Making Scheduled Events:   * The train leaves at 10 am.   * The concert starts at 8 pm.   * The meeting is tomorrow at 2 pm. More ExamplesRegular Habits: The birds sing in the morning. • General Truth: The earth revolves around the sun. • Permanent State: He loves his family. • Opinion: I believe that education is important. • Instruction: Please close the window. • Scheduled Event: The flight arrives at 6:30 pm.

What are enzyme models? Enzyme models are theoretical frameworks that describe how enzymes function to catalyze biochemical reactions. The two most well-known models are: 1. Lock and Key Model: This model suggests that the enzyme's active site (the region where the substrate binds) is precisely shaped to fit a specific substrate, much like a key fits into a lock. According to this model, the enzyme and substrate have complementary shapes, allowing for a perfect fit that facilitates the reaction. 2. Induced Fit Model: This model builds on the lock and key concept by suggesting that the active site of the enzyme is flexible and can change shape upon substrate binding. When the substrate approaches, the enzyme undergoes a conformational change that enhances the fit between the enzyme and substrate, leading to a more effective catalytic process. Both models illustrate the specificity and efficiency of enzymes in catalyzing reactions, but the induced fit model is generally considered more accurate in describing the dynamic nature of enzyme-substrate interactions. Enzyme models help researchers understand enzyme kinetics, regulation, and mechanisms of action in biological systems. @maths_group11 @maths_group11
