Pov: slept two hours last night and school took 10 hours of your day already and now two more
And we still didn't talk about studying for the finals and interrogations
كنت رح اقدم presentation عن الإجهاض و كيف كل فلسفة بتناقشه
بس طلعت من الحصة بسبب الغثيان
شكرا للغثيان
I do not think that skies and meadows are
Moral, or that the fixture of a star
Comes of a quiet spirit, or that trees
Have wisdom in their windless silences.
Yet these are things invested in my mood
With constancy, and peace, and fortitude,
That in my troubled season I can cry
Upon the wide composure of the sky,
And envy fields, and wish that I might be
As little daunted as a star or tree.
Reciprocity| John Drinkwater
I’m not the most morally responsible person ever, you know my moral compass is broken and my soul is rotten to the core
There is a difference between what Kant would have said versus what his theories and basic commitments might entail. For Kant it is the intent that matters, not the outcome.
Kant would have almost certainly opposed abortion as he opposed suicide, claiming we have a perfect duty not to do either. His theory, which ties moral duties to rationality, complicates this. Since fetuses lack rationality, like animals (to whom Kant said we owe no duties), his philosophy might not prohibit abortion unless we argue for the fetus’s potential to become rational
He passionately refused to be called an existentialist. He’s often analyzed as an absurdist, but I don’t think it matters much since absurdism is a branch of existentialism, same shit different bathroom
