to me, the ‘suffering artist’ trope is outdated af.. some discomfort is part of growth, but suffering isn’t a badge of honor. there’s a big difference between ‘productive struggle’ (creative blocks, practice fatigue) and harmful pain (chronic stress, injury). adjusting deadlines, seeking support, and listening to your body MATTER. art is a marathon, not a sprint
