my review on ‘my body’ by emily ratajkowski 👩✨ #jinx_reads книга состоит из эссе эмили, в которых она подробно раскрывает свои отношения с родителями, рассказывает о ‘внутренности’ модельного бизнеса, как она к нему пришла и рассуждает о женском теле в этом мире. местами книга очень obnoxious, но это ещё больше показывает откровенность и честность со стороны эмили в одном из интервью она делится целью, которую преследовала при написании своей книги:

we tend to say ‘if only my nose was smaller/i lost 5 pounds or whatever/if i looked like her, everything would be good’..i don’t think it’s true. young women should enjoy their lives & themselves, and not be so caught up in the beauty myth, the beauty hustle. we kill ourselves trying to attain something that is really difficult
