Latest Update after SCOTUS ruling
The USSC did it. Who would've thought Kratanji Brown would've voted that way?
Now I'm just waiting on notice for immediate release to go back out on bond/pretrial while the prosecution and judge "figure this out"; It was expected that they would find a way to interpret the supreme court's ruling to not apply to me somehow. We'll see.
My parents are waiting on the call to come take me home. A brother plans on taking me to Texas De Brazil for lunch the same day, then to grab battery for my car to get it running again. I'll need to hit the ground running with work, to make up for a year and a half of not earning a paycheck.
Since Friday, my time has moved in slow-mo. The last few days feel like weeks, and nothing is distracting me anymore. My drug addict celly was released immediately this morning, and I'm just sitting here waiting for my call to exit.
Thank you all for all you've done to help me in here. You made my time easy and helped me stay focused on improving myself, not letting this time be a waste.
I'm ready. See you soon!

Another Update. Still Waiting on SCOTUS decision
I have no idea how the USSC works.
The last non-argument day is Thursday, until it isn't because randomly Friday is made a non-argument day. And then next week I'm sure they'll make more non-argument days. Non-argument days are when they make rulings.
It's dumb.
Honestly I shouldn't even be expecting to get out, nobody knows for certain how the USSC will rule on US vs Fischer. I'm doing my best to be patient about it, but it doesn't help that I'm gambling on them voting in favor of Fischer. Even if they do, then I'm sure the judge on MY case will still try to not let me out, or drag her feet doing so. That's IF the prosecutor doesn't try to pull some shit too.
Trying not to be negative, but also trying not to get crushed by these demons.
Did 8 sets of 30x20x20 pushups yesterday....so thats....560 pushups, with 50 at the end, so 610. I'm alright with that number. Probably could've done more if it wasn't so hot out.
Today was burpee day. 10 down, so we did 10, then 9, then 8, then 7, and so on. Then 10 up. Then 10 down and 10 up again. 220 burpees. We've done more when it's cooler out, but this heat just saps the energy outta you. I need to buy a 2nd waterbottle to bring outside to keep cool.
Been messing around with the ol acoustic for a few hours every week. Trying to nap more of the time away then usual too lol.
Love yall. Miss yall. I'll be outta here "Wednesday" lmao. Bad joke.

Prison Update Day 502
I have reached my primary fitness goal I wanted to get to before leaving prison.
Before I got in (Not sure how true this is) I learned that 80% of the world can't bench 250lbs, meaning only the top 20% can. I wanted to be in the top 20, and as of Saturday I officially am. I benched 265lbs. Twice. The 3rd was a little sloppy, I wont count it lol. Many people have told me in here that the workouts I do wont build muscle or strength, that they're really just cardio. This proves them wrong, as when I first got here my max on the bench was 160 or 170 (PATHETIC!)
This was my #1 goal I wanted to achieve in here...well, besides getting back to freedom lol.
Our workouts typically have us split into 2 sides, with X and a couple others that do the full workout on one side, and those like me who do about 60-80% going after them. On Tuesday, I kept up with X on burpees in both speed and number. Today (Wednesday) I did every squat, jump squat, and calve raise he did. I'm not allowed to be on the B squad anymore, X is making me workout on the A squad. I've done the total workout 2 days in a row now. 100%.
I've met all of my prison goals I've made, both the ones before coming in and the ones when I first got here.
I was baptized and confirmed with the Catholic church on 12-31-23
I got my GED before that
I learned to play guitar (and overcame my stage fright)
I'm still a little fat, but I lost 30lbs at least in fat and put on a good amount of muscle
I'm the strongest I've ever been in my life
Feels good.
Tomorrow could be the day the USSC rules. I'm praying they get me outta here.
Love yall. Miss yall.

A pretty significant update
I received my halfway house date. It's not great, but it's far from horrible, considering I was ready to be in here for 30 months.
December 17th. It's a worst case scenario, because I'm still betting on the USSC dismissing the charges next month (the BEST case scenario). If I go to halfway house on December 17 (sadly, a Tuesday, not a WEDNESDAY lol) I'd probably only be there a couple weeks before I got on Home Confinement.
Funny, I'm realising there's another solution beyond this as I'm typing. My lawyer can still file for the 3 point reduction, which would reduce my sentence by probably a year, so with good time, FSA and all that, I'd probably be out in October or November, and to the door! COMPLETELY skipping the halfway house!
Anyways, that's my news. Not great news, but decent. I should be grateful I got that date, as there's someone else in here who found out last month he wont be at halfway house til February. This is a good worst case scenario.
Ansley, I got the money, thank you!
Thank you all for keeping me going through all this. I've seen plenty of people in here with no love or support to go off of. It's pretty sad.
The end of this bullshit is coming. I'm ready. Getting the ol prison body primed for freedom. I'll take some more photos this Saturday.
Love yall. See ya soon!

Big Ol Nothing Update from your boy in the big house
Thank you all again, for the money on the books, the reading material, and the letters (Polarbeard! How you been? Writing you back!) I'm praying the USSC lets me out next month with dropping the 1512(c)(2), so I can start working again in the free and not beg like I've been. I hate it lol.
Today I did my best in cardio, and set a new standard personally for my workouts.
20 down Double-pump burpees.
Drop into plank and do 2 pushups, then come up. 20 times. Then 19. Then 18, 17, 16, and so on.
Felt Like I was going to pass out, but good Lord that was some good cardio. I've been taking my diet more seriously, especially with the possibility of getting out next month. Haven't touched sweets at all in 5 days, and I think I'm over them entirely. I've also cut down to 2 meals a day, lunch and dinner, and trying to double my dinner protein.
"but...but...you'll lose muscle mass if you dont eat x times a day and x amount of carbs!" OH WELL! Seriously, HOW MUCH will I lose and at what rate? I'm positive I'll burn more fat than muscle, and if I lose a few pounds of meat with 20lbs of fat, no big deal. I can gain the muscle back easily once I get out and I'm able to get some good nutrition.
I'm halfway through the 3rd book in the Red Rising series. It's incredible. Not that dorky kinda sci-fi. Cool shit like Starship Troopers and The Circle.
I'm sorry I haven't been talking to yall much. Or writing back. I'm trying to stay focused on my goals and not think at all about June, as I'm tired of getting my hopes up and having them squashed in here. This place is wearing on me again. Big ol shit pool of negativity. Its rough lol
I love yall. See ya soon hopefully.
-Prison Nicky
Just waiting. More waiting. The gears are turning on multiple possible exits here. I still don't have a halfway house date, or I do but I haven't been notified yet. Many are confident the USSC will vote in our favor in June, my lawyer as well. He informed me that even though I pled guilty to this charge, if the supreme court determines the charge doesn't apply, then I'll be out and free, I wont even be labeled a felon. He used a good example:
"Say you got a gun and you shot a dead body, and your intention was to kill a man, but evidence shows clearly that the person you shot was already dead when you shot them. Regardless of your intention and confession, you can't be guilty of something that's been proven you didn't do".
Definitely praying they vote in my favor. My lawyer has another possible maneuver that could reduce my time in here from that 3 point enhancement that someone else successfully appealed. It would take at least 11 months off my time. Between all this and halfway house, I'll be out this year for sure.
Workouts have been going great. I do about 80% of what our leader does in terms of numbers, and I pretty much matched him today on arm day. We have a 55lb jug we do various curls with.
We did 21's: 7 lower-half curls, 7 upper half curls, then 7 full curls.
Then sets of 10 6 second curls, 3 seconds up, 3 seconds down.
Then a 60 second hold halfway up the curl. Well, I got 60 seconds.
Then We took turns holding the jug at the top of the curl while the other puts their hands on the jug and tries to force it down.
We used a resistance band to do tricep extensions between each set.
My arms have become noticeably bigger, along with my pecs, quads, and shoulders. My quads kinda stick out a bit now, so if you ran your hand up my outer leg it could get stuck on the muscle. Pretty cool. Some make fun of me in here for my pecs standing out, but I'm really not puffing out my chest lol. Feels good. If I could just get my body fat percentage down I'd be happy, but duplex cookies are so good lol! It's a struggle for sure.
*(THIS is the part of the update where I beg for some money on my books!)*
I got commissary in a couple weeks. I appreciate how much yall have supported me in here, and I could really use some more of that support on my books, pretty pretty prease! I gotta get some more mackerels and sausages to keep my protein up. It's hard, the food quality has definitely dropped here as well (and it wasn't that great to begin with either lol). We're getting maybe 2oz of meat on our trays, and if we're lucky there's beans on the self serve hot bar.
I've been reading the Red Rising series, as suggested by many in here and sought after by many more. I read the first book, 380 pages in 2-3 days. Pretty damn good series so far.
I'll be outta here soon. Hopefully I get my body where I want it by the time I leave. I got my mind and spirit where I want them, all thats left is my body for the even trifecta.
I love yall. Miss yall. See yall soon!

Prison Update: 1 year, 81 days.
Tomorrow the Supreme Court hears arguments on whether or not 1512(c)(2) actually applies to any of us. I'm hearing the charge the DOJ is relying on NOW is the Parading Picketing Or Demonstrating On Federal Property charge, because they probably think the Obstruction of an Official Proceeding will be dismissed by the USSC. There's a lot of IFs in relation to my charge and this ruling, and I don't believe there's any guarantee that it'll get me out of prison, lower my sentence, anything like that since we pled guilty to the charge.
IF my time gets lowered or I get released, they may try to hit me with the Demonstrating on Federal Property charge, but that's confusing too. I initially had that charge, and a few others, but they were dropped as part of my plea agreement.
Been trying not to think about any of it. Idk if my lawyer ever filed anything either, I'm trying to be patient. Stress eating has hit me hard again, and I gotta stop leaning on sweets for comfort. I took most of last week off from working out because I was sick, but I figured my body could use the break from excercise anyway. Still feeling beefy, might get some pics done this weekend.
Yall help me out a ton. Ansley, I've been getting the Epoch Times now, just got my 3rd issue. Thank you! The extra on commissary will help me out tomorrow too, thank you! All my clothes I bought a year ago are pretty worn out. It doesn't help that there's only 1 laundry day a week here, but there's hardly enough room in your locker for 3-4 changes of clothes, so shower washing them and wringing them out to dry (because we lack places to hang our stuff to dry) has left most of the elastic on my stuff just absolutely obliterated.
I'm ready to get outta here: Got a job lined up already that'll pay good enough to take care of me, my family, and help out other J6ers. My family is excited to have me back, and my mom already has my first meal planned out for me when I get back home (Steak Pizziola, or however its spellt.) My bitchin' 300c is waiting for me to get behind the wheel, and my dog is ready to hang his head out the windows.
Except my halfway house packet I signed 6 weeks ago still hasn't left the compound HAHAHA xD LOLOLOLOL
Hopefully next month I got more info on that. It is, as I've been told, "moving along" though, through the departments it needs approval from.
I'm blessed though. There are many things in motion that'll result in me getting out of here. And besides, I still need more time to get my FREEDOM BODY where I want it. Gotta maximize on that "Prison Glow" for the ladies!
This is my update. Sorry I haven't said anything in weeks. It get's tiring reaching out to people just to tell them there's no news on my freedom and I did X amount of pushups that day lol.
I'm out of books. If anyone wants to send me something to read I'd appreciate it. I like Sci-Fi and historical fiction. No chick-centric stuff please, Tchakovsky's Final Architecture series had plenty enough of that lol. Decent series though. 7.5/10.
Love yous. Miss yous. See yous when I see yous.

Prison Update Day 4xx
Pushup day Monday
We started with explosive pushups, starting with a standard hand position going down, then coming up you pop into a diamond-hand position, then pop back into standard hand position.
We did 5 sets of 15
Then we did perfect form, but with a 'bunny hop' at the bottom... Like a double pump pushup. So, go down with your chest to the floor, push up a third of the way up, then back down, then back up all the way to the top.
I did 5 sets of 12
Then we did 6 second pushups - 3 seconds up, 3 seconds down.
3 sets of 10
After that, we did 2 seconds at the bottom, 2 seconds at 40% up, then 2 seconds up top (don't have a name for these either).
3 sets of 8
Then back to the double pump pushups.
2 sets of 15
Incline pushups off the bleachers
3 sets of 20
100 regular pushups to finish. Good workout. I feel it in my triceps more than anything.
I'm sitting great with money on my books, thank you all! This time is easy peasy with the love and support I get in here.
I'm halfway through the second book in The Final Architecture. Decent series.
I'm waiting for a halfway house date now, and I should have one either this week or next. I'm praying when I get it, it's no later than June. Til then, I'll be trying to cut some of this fat off of me, getting a little more tanned. The track is open again, which is great. Been on there for a couple hours every day.
Love yall, see yall soon hopefully

Prison Update Day 429
There's a bug going around, and I definitely got it now. Little bit of pain when I'm breathing too hard, so today's cardio is out of the question. I'm retaking the guitar class anyway, for something to do, but also it might be the teacher's final class as he's dying of cancer.
I did put in 2 hours of burpees on Tuesday though, so it kinda evens out. We did 100, 1 at a time, see-saw, then 2 at a time to 100, then 3 at a time to 100. 2nd hour we repeated the same thing, but I only did every other one on the second hour, so I did about 450 total.
I didn't do pushups on Monday because I had band practice instead. Cool little group. We got a guy in there that's showed us how to do some reggae and jazzy stuff, and then we worked on playing Float On by Modest Mouse, possibly my all time favorite track. I did the lead guitar and vocals, and I think I did pretty good. It's awesome not only finally getting on some electric instruments, but playing with some musicians.
Somebody sent me the whole Final Architecture series by Adrian Tchaikovsky! Thank you very much, Im 100 pages in on the first book and it's pretty damn good so far. Big thanks to everyone who's put money on my books too. Yall are making this time pretty easy for me, and I appreciate it.
I just sent some letters out, and I got a few more I'm working on. I sent out a couple pictures too. Although I have put on a little more fat, I compared my most recent photo to one from July and I definitely got some bigger muscles than then. Feels good.
My relocation, or change of district/address, whatever its called, finally went through. I signed my halfway house documents yesterday, so now I just gotta wait for a halfway house to give me a date, and that might be anywhere from 2-5 months out. I'm really hoping to hear something back reguarding the bs Obstruction of Justice enhancement being taken off sooner than that though, as it could take a year off of me, and I might be able to just skip halfway house altogether and go straight home on probation/supervision. We'll see.
Love yall, see yall soon. Gears are turning, some slower than others, but still turning.
-Nicky
Prison Update Day 421
Monday we did the same as last week for pushups:
5 stations on the bleachers. Flat, left arm higher, right arm higher, incline, decline. Only difference was on the higher arm specific ones, while pushing up, taking our lower hand and touching the opposite shoulder, left the higher hand/arm more isolated. I did sets of 12, and on the flat pushups I did explosives instead...Call it extra credit lol
Tuesday we did 3 single pump burpees see-saw til we reached 200, then did 10 sets of 10 singe pump burpees. My shoulders don't really hurt anymore, and my chest can handle the pushups in the burpees now, even after pushup day.
Some of you may have heard on Friday, about the guy with the same 1512(c)(2) charge I got appealing his 3 point enhancement for Obstruction of Justice, and the DC court of appeals ruled in his favor saying that enhancement doesn't stick with that charge. This could be huge. 100 other defendants, myself included, recieved that enhancement with the 1512(c)(2). If I get 3 points removed from my sentence, bringing my level of 22 to 19, I'd get at least 11 months knocked off of my 48 months, and I'd skip halfway house entirely and go straight to supervision/probation. Please pray for me and the 100 or so others this could affect.
Just sitting here as patiently as possible waiting for something to come of this. A new game hit the tablet, and I can't stop playing it. It's taken so much attention from me that the last 5 days feels closer to 5 hours lol. I'm gonna let this drain my brain between workouts and band practice. Oh yeah, I'm now practicing with a band, I'm on guitar. Monday we'll have another guitarist with us, and idk if I'll be doing lead or rhythm. We played around doing some reggae, and then jammed an original rock track our bassist wrote. 2 hours in the band room went by like it was 5 minutes.
I finished Anthem (thank you Serf!). It was oddly only 100 pages, then the other 150 was odd scans of Rand's original Brittish writing of it with a bunch of scribbles all over it. If anyone would wanna send me a book, I'd love another Adrian Tchakovsky book. I also just finished his Children of Time series. Pretty damn good sci-fi, not very gay at all!
Anywho, just filling my time with this stuff, keeping my mind off of getting out. No halfway house date yet, but I should hear something in a week or two.
Love yall. Go excercise.
-Nicky
Prison Update Day 415
Cardio day.
4x4's....kinda. Closer to 5x4's but then 10x4's and...idk what you'd call this.
5 pushups, 5 squats, 5 jumping jacks, 5 burpees. Only the burpees were done see-saw (taking turns back and forth).
Then 10. Then 15. 20. 20. 15. 10. 5. Then back up and down again. I kept my numbers at 5, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 5.
So I did 140 pushups, 140 squats, 140 jumping jacks, and 140 burpees. I don't think I've ever felt the sweat rush out of me like that before.
My last buddy (and bad dietary influence) left for halfway house on Tuesday, and I'm back on the diet wagon. Gonna be pushing harder on cardio and easing up on my carb and calorie intake to try to get to 15% body fat.
I got Anthem by Ayn Rand in the mail yesterday! Thank you! I didn't realise how short of a book it is lol, I think it's only like 140 pages. I expected something more, since The Fountainhead was roughly 700 pages and Atlas Shrugged was 1300 pages I believe. I'm gonna start it as soon as I get through Children of Memory. If anybody knows of some decent sci-fi books and has a few extra bucks, I'd appreciate it. I'm running out of people to talk to in here and books to escape from this setting. All that's on the tablet for movies I haven't seen yet are kids Disney movies, and I'm still not over how weird it is they keep putting those movies on.
I have no updates on anything regarding leaving. It's a little worrying, but I've been trying to keep my mind off of it; Stress aint gonna make my date move up. However, it's hard to plan for anything until I'm in the leaving phase. Hopefully I learn something soon.
Love yall

Prison Workout Update Day 406(It's also my birthday 🎂)
Yeah, it's another workout update. Sorry, no real news.
Yesterday we did pushups outside on the basketball court bleachers, and we added a bit more to the normal pushup routine.
In sets of 10 (I stuck to 8's), we started with a set of regular pushups, then did one set with our right hand on the lower bench and left hand on the higher bench, then the opposite, then incline, then decline. Repeat 10 times to 500 (400 for me). I went a little slower on the first few sets to take it easy on my pathetic shoulders, but after the first 5 sets I started doing explosion pushups instead of the regular flat ones. On the 7th set, on the weird un-even pushups, we did them slower, 2 seconds up, 2 seconds down.
Today was burpee day, and I dreaded it from waking up with a migraine, all the way through the 45 minutes out there. I BELIEVE we did 250 in that hour, but seeing as a couple of us were late from work, 3 of us stuck around for a second hour with our latecomers. I only did about 200 out of the 300 in the second hour, but 450 is a pretty good number for the day. My shoulders are tight, but not in agony.
Thursday I will check in again with my case manager and see if my change of district has gone through. Trying to be patient, it aint easy though. Just gonna keep praying I get outta here soon.
Love yall. Miss yall.

J6 Prison Update Day 401
Well, I think its 401. Jan 10th was 365. Who cares!?
Today I learned an important lesson (again) while doing cardio today. Originally I had planned to take this week off from doing anything regarding upper body, as to avoid further pain in my shoulders. Monday I went outside for pushups anyway. We did our usual, but I dropped the number to 10s: 10 straight pushups, 10 incline, and 10 decline, and halfway through went up to sets of 12 each, but also on the 2nd half of each set doing them with a 1 second pause at the bottom and at the top. I had no pain in my shoulders.
Today we went out and instead of 357's, we did burpees; 100 single pump to start, see-saw. I decided to do 7 or 8, but take a small break before the next 10. No pain in the shoulders. Next we did 1the same thing, but with the jump at the end of each. I did 80%, and again, had no pain in the shoulders. We did 10 down see-saw(10, then 9, then 8, then 7, and so on) and I kept my number just a smidge under the usual, and then we did 10 UP, I did me the same way. No shoulder pains.
What I learned was I need to stop trying to rush to my goal. This isn't a race, and I don't have a deadline to reach whatever goal or limitation I haven't even set, other than just keeping up with our leader. Where many, myself included, keep setting unrealistic standards and just give up when they can't reach it, I instead tried to shortcut it and just force my way to that level, which is ALSO not the right way lol. I'll continue to push it to 100%...and maybe a smidge more...but there's no hurry, and I need to stop pushing myself to injury.
I'm hoping when I get out that some of you will want to join me in these kinds of workouts if you aren't already active. I've learned how to condition my body to do things I never thought I'd be capable of, and in such a short frame of time I didn't think was possible either. In acheiving this, I can help anyone else interested in doing the same. There's no excuse for being fat, weak, and unhealthy in the mind, body, and spirit. I hope I'm not coming off cocky or anything, but I'm at a level of inner peace I've never had before, and in knowing this joy, I'd be a real selfish jerk to try not to share this with others.
Anywho, yesterday was Ash Wednesday. Bishop Michael came to do our service yesterday, and his delivery is a little refreshing. For lent, I'm going to give up swearing. If profanity is the sign of a weak mind, then I will solidify mine without resorting to weaker vocabulary. I've already made a deal with my celly; for every 3 times I use profanity around him, I'm gonna owe him my dinner for that night. That should be plenty of motivation to stick with my goal lol.
I checked with my case manager to see if regional has put in my change of district this week....they haven't. Ah well, praying for next week so I can be put in for the halfway house.
Nothing else really going on. Love yall. Miss yall.
-Nicky
Prison Update Day 393
Let's change the channel name to "Jack'd Nicholson's Prison Body Dysmorphia Updates" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA lol
No, it doesn't sound great, but NEITHER DOES ALL THIS STRESSING I'M DOING OVER MY WEIGHT!
I was told by Wyrmkin many months ago that at this point in my fitness, I should not worry about weight, but more so just keep my diet right and watch my body change. I don't know why, but I keep finding myself looking at the scale and getting discouraged. It's bullshit, because I can see the change when I get out of the shower and look in the mirror. I gotta stop getting in my head; Part of this journey I'm on is for calming my mind and finding peace, which I have greatly, but I still have frequent peaks of chaos and misery. I need to keep reminding myself it could take years to get my body to where I want it to be. Hell, I spent so many years destroying it, makes sense it'll take a few rebuilding it.
I gotta stop pushing myself too hard too. On Saturday I decided I'm gonna add 100 pushups a day when I wake up...Then after those, I decided on 200. 200 more on Sunday. Then yesterday, on pushup day, my number was of course way lower in the workout lol. My left shoulder is starting to hurt more too, but a little higher in the deltoid. I couldn't function for shit today through burpees. I gotta slow down again, and find my level that I can operate at.
My commissary account has been absolutely blessed again this month, thank you everyone! Gonna keep up with this diet, even though I'm not burning the fat off as fast as I'd like, I'm not losing any muscle either. I've been making post workout protein bowls consisting of 1 serving brown rice, 1 serving of soy taco mix, and a mackerel. Comes out to about 25g protein, 35g carbs, and 400 calories I think. Not gonna lie though, a friend and I are planning to make some killer Super Bowl nachos on Sunday! xD
I'm gonna go watch The Magnificent Seven for the 5th time. Still hasn't got old for me. Great movie.
This Friday I might have some news regarding the halfway house. We'll see.
Love yall, see yall soon!
-Nicky
