When you feel like you only wash dishes for them to be dirtied, remember who those dishes feed. When you feel like you do the laundry only for the basket to be filled in a few days, remember who is being clothed. And when you feel like you only ever cook and clean, remember who you serve and who your work glorifies. What a gift to clean a home where messes were made by a healthy baby playing, dishes were dirtied because we ate three meals, and laundry needs doing because we all had so much fun outside today. These gifts make the mundane tasks such a privilege God did not assign an inferior job to the homemaker, He gave her a high rank of responsibility

Relationships are a choice we have to make every single day, reminding ourselves just how lucky we are to be holding someone's hand who wants us, who chooses us, who cares for us, who fights for us and who genuinely loves us. And when you find that, it's up to you to do the same thing. Never take anything for granted. This is how relationships last in a generation that throws away things and people away too easily.

Please excuse this house… Some houses try to hide the fact that children shelter there; Ours boasts of it quite openly, the signs are everywhere. For smears are on the windows, little smudges on the doors. I should apologise (I suppose) for toys strewn on the floors. But I sat down with the children and we played and laughed and read, And if the doorbell doesn't shine their eyes will shine instead. For when at times I'm forced to choose, the one job or the other, I want to be a good housewife, And still be a mother.

Please pray for the soul of this incredible man of faith, whose strength in upholding tradition has brought so many souls to heaven, and will be felt for generations to come.

Let us be cheerful! We have no more right to steal the brightness out of the day of our own family than we have to steal the purse of a stranger. Let us be as careful that our homes are furnished with pleasant and happy thoughts as we are that the rugs are the right colour and texture and the furniture comfortable and beautiful!

Dear mothers, When your daily life feels mundane or a struggle, remember these words of Ven. Fulton Sheen: "A woman is capable of more sustained sacrifice than man. Man is more apt to be the hero in one great, passionate outburst of courage. But a woman is heroic through the years, months, and even seconds of daily life, the very repetition of her toils giving them the semblance of the commonplace. Not only her days but her nights, not only her mind, but her body, must share in the Calvary of Mothering. She, therefore, has a greater understanding of redemption than man, for she comes closer to death in bringing forth life." Your daily existence as a mother is heroic, and never forget it.

The man who lacks purpose will distract himself with pleasure

The world has enough women who are tough, we need more women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse, we need women who are kind. There are enough women of fame and fortune, we need women of faith. We have enough greed, we need more goodness. We have enough vanity, we need more virtue. We have enough popularity, we need more purity. We need more women of God… Not women of the world!
