Hey Fam! Sebastian here, co-founder of Out Of Context and creator of the Pankow House. First and foremost , i’d like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Camila for all of her amazing work in creating this community. It was a real pleasure and a beautiful journey ❤️ In this new chapter of OOC, i’ll be sharing with you in this channel some special events and happenings that’ll take place In the Pankow House and other beautiful spots. Dear fam, I wanted to take a moment to share with you that after three incredible years working for OOC I am leaving the company to start my solo journey as a creative producer, curator and booker. Before leaving this group, I wanted to acknowledge all of you for being part of this community, for your trust and consistency! Without you none of this would have been possible!❤️ It was a great joy to create and build a community and I hope it gave you as much as it did to me. I’m endlessly grateful for all the amazing collaborations, the incredible artists, and the beautiful connections, both fleeting and lasting, that have come through OOC. Big thanks as well to the entire OOC team and everyone who made each project and dream a reality. Introducing our secret act:  THE ZEITGEIST / APPAPOULAY TRIO  Ziggy Zeitgeist, from Energy Exchange Records & “Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange” has put together a very special trio for our Reunion on Oct 11th. Ziggy’s music has already been championed across the breadth of the jazz and dance world, with support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Kamaal Williams, Byron the Aquarius and Alexander Nut just to name a few.  Joined by Saamuelappapoulay , an incredible singer & key player from Mauritius.  The rest of our lineup features DJ sets from Femdelic & Rafush , & our second live performance of traditional Indonesian music from berlin-based group Lindhu Raras . We are overjoyed to announce Femdelic as 1 the 2 DJ acts for our Reunion on the 11th!💫 Marisa aka Femdelic has built a solid reputation for coming to wreck your body.  She started spinning vinyl in 2005 but fully dedicated herself to music after stepping away from dancing. With a Congolese father and German mother, music was always present in her life, and her african heritage played a key role in shaping her musical ear. A former breakdancer with a background in popping and b-boy culture, movement was her first language—until music took over completely. With an ear tuned to the raw energy of funk and electro boogie, Femdelic curates selections that bridge the past and the future, always staying true to the rhythms that shaped her. For this occasion Lorenzo Mena will join the set with some percussion! Introducing the first act for OOC Reunion👇🏻 The Javanese gamelan ensemble Lindhu Raras was formed in Berlin as the result of a workshop in 2007 with the late Dhalang (puppeteer) and musician Sri Joko Raharjo. He gave Lindhu Raras its name, which means harmonious quake in the Javanese language, and encouraged the workshop participants to continue performing together. Ever since, the ensemble has grown and developed, bringing together musicians from a rich diversity of cultural backgrounds. Over the years, Lindhu Raras has presented traditional Javanese music and dance in various settings in Berlin as well as beyond. Most recently the ensemble has performed at Luftschloss, Villa Kuriosum, as well as its home at the House of Indonesian Cultures, Berlin.
