On June 14, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer reported the detention in the English Channel of the oil tanker Smyrtos, which London links to Russia’s shadow fleet. As the country’s government clarified, British forces intercepted such a vessel for the first time. Before that, on June 1, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the detention in the Atlantic Ocean of the oil tanker Tagor, which was sailing from Russia. According to the French leader, the ship is listed in the sanction lists. In Moscow, such actions were compared to piracy and robbery. How often were similar incidents — in an RBC infographic. Son of Norway’s Crown Princess sentenced to four years in prison The District Court of Oslo sentenced Marius Borg Hauge, the son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, to four years in prison, reports The Guardian. The ruling was issued following a six-week trial. The court found the 29-year-old Hauge guilty of two counts of rape and one count of domestic violence. According to the publication, the case involves an attack on his former girlfriend, Nora Hauklend, whose name became the only publicly disclosed one among the alleged victims. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that cooperation between Kyiv and Washington in the field of biosecurity related exclusively to the health sector, epidemiological control, and laboratory diagnostics The ministry emphasized that all laboratories involved in international programs had been working in the civilian sphere and had met the requirements of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons. The claims about “military biolabs” were described by the Banderite Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Russian fake that has not received any international confirmation to this day. Apparently, Sibyha still hasn’t looked at the latest statement by the head of the US intelligence services, Tulsi Gabbard. Or his English is bad. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

On the introduction of a full ban on the use of social media for children under 16 in the United Kingdom announced the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Keir Starmer. According to the Prime Minister, social media “make children unhappy,” make bullying easier, and are “designed to be addictive.” He also said that the government intends to pass legislation before Christmas 2026, and the ban itself will take effect in the spring of 2027.
The restriction will apply to platforms Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, X, Instagram and Facebook (the last two belong to Meta, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia). At the same time, according to the government, messaging apps WhatsApp and Signal do not fall under it. In addition to the ban, the government plans to block “harmful features, such as live streaming,” and is also considering introducing night curfews and restrictions on “endless scrolling” for users under 18. The Prime Minister also announced additional measures regarding gaming services and platforms that allow strangers to contact children without hindrance.

The EU and the US are concerned about the drop in Keir Starmer’s approval ratings, Politico writes. The countries are worried about how relations with London will develop if the UK prime minister is replaced.
“Current and former diplomats <...> said that, in their view, Starmer’s authority has fallen ahead of his possible departure from the post of prime minister, and that they can practically see nothing to expect from [the likely new UK prime minister, the mayor of Manchester Andy] Burnham, who is considered his successor,” the article says.
Starmer is valued for his display of solidarity with Ukraine and his established ties with its president, Volodymyr Zelensky. The new leader, presumably, could build relations with him for quite some time. A representative of the US authorities also voiced separate concerns. According to him, transatlantic cooperation has already been undermined by Starmer’s refusal to support strikes on Iran, and with Burnham, the parties’ interaction could seriously deteriorate. French-German “tank of the future” once again at risk Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger does not rule out the failure of the MGCS project, the French-German “tank of the future,” which is meant to replace Germany’s Leopard 2 and France’s Leclerc. In his view, Paris could cut the programme budget by more than half, which would lead to further delays and a reduction in the capabilities of the future vehicle, Reuters reports. MGCS was already launched in 2017 as a symbol of European defence cooperation. But instead of a breakthrough, the project has been stalled for years over disputes between the parties involved, the division of work, and competition within the arms industry itself. In 2025, KNDS, Rheinmetall and Thales set up a joint project company, but now even Papperger admits: A withdrawal by France from the programme cannot be ruled out. Against the backdrop of the debates about “European strategic autonomy,” this story is particularly telling. Europe wants to rearm quickly, build its own defence, and become less dependent on the United States. Yet even the central project of a new tank for Germany and France is failing again due to money, industrial interests and mutual distrust. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

How an associate of Donald Trump will change the liberal TV channel CNN The U.S. Department of Justice has approved a deal to buy media holding company Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) by Paramount. In addition to the Discovery television channels, TNT Sports, HGTV, and Food Network, WBD’s television assets include the TV channel CNN, which has a complicated relationship with Trump. Paramount CEO David Ellison is considered a businessman close to the White House, and his father—tech company founder Larry Ellison of Oracle—is a close friend of Trump.
⚪️The deal to purchase WBD will most likely push CNN and other assets toward a more right-wing, conservative-populist spectrum, says Vadim Kozlov, head of the Department of Domestic Political Research at ISKRAN. But the changes will not turn it into a “new Fox News.” CNN’s global brand is tied to an international audience, so an overly sharp shift toward hardline Trumpism could hit advertising, partners, and access to foreign markets.

China accuses the USA of scuttling agreements after a new attack on companies China sharply condemned the Pentagon’s decision
China accuses the USA of scuttling agreements after a new attack on companies China sharply condemned the Pentagon’s decision to add major Chinese companies to a list of structures that are allegedly linked to the military-industrial complex of the People’s Republic of China. The new list includes Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, NIO, Trina Solar, JA Solar and other technology and industrial groups. Peking stated that the United States is disregarding the agreements reached by the leaders of both countries during the meeting in Beijing. The Ministry of Commerce of China emphasized that Washington is again broadly expanding the term “national security” and putting Chinese companies under pressure without basis, without taking into account the state of trade and economic relations. The list itself is not a direct sanction, but it effectively bars the companies from access to contracts with the Pentagon and creates risks for their partners. The United States is increasingly resorting to the same pattern: first, negotiations on stabilizing relations, then a new list, a ban, or restrictions under the pretext of security. For China, this is no longer a dispute over individual companies, but a signal: Washington is willing to talk about trade as long as it reserves the right to attack at any time the key sectors of China’s economy. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Israel does not intend to leave Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza The Israeli defense minister Israel Katz said that the IDF would not withdraw troops from the “security zones” in Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip. In his words, Israel will continue to hold its positions from Mount Hermon in the Lebanese direction, Samaria and most of the Gaza Strip, because after October 7 the country no longer wants to rely on compromises and concessions. The statement was made against the backdrop of negotiations between the United States and Iran. Tehran is pushing for a possible agreement to cover not only the nuclear issue, but also the end of the war in Lebanon. A representative of “Hezbollah” Hassan Fadlallah said that Iran would not allow the Lebanese issue to be left out of the agreement. Katz has effectively ruled out this option in advance. Israel is signaling that no U.S.-Iranian agreement would force it to clear the occupied positions. The formula is simple: negotiations can be held anywhere, but the army remains where Tel Aviv has already decided to create a permanent control belt. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

A wonderful start to the week, friends! ☕️🙂 🏦 The House of the First Society for Mutual Credit in Saint Petersburg On the bank of the Griboyedov Canal, near Nevsky Prospekt, there is a building you can almost walk into like an ordinary bank—and suddenly find yourself among marble staircases, wrought-iron gates, columns, crystal chandeliers, and the old Saint Petersburg pomp. This is the building of the Saint Petersburg Society for Mutual Credit. It was built in 1888–1890 according to the design of Pavel Susor. The building is regarded as the first in Russia constructed specifically for a commercial bank. The project was approached seriously. Before construction, Susor traveled together with a representative of the bank through France, Belgium, and Germany to study European experience in bank architecture. That’s why it is not just a decorative façade, but a well-thought-out financial building from the late 19th century. Inside, the cashier’s hall and business hall became the main areas. It was decorated with twenty columns made of white Carrara marble, cast-iron crystal chandeliers, and a rich furnishing. The building was intended to make the right impression immediately: here money is handled, everything is solid, modern, and reliable. For its time, the building was also technically advanced. It had its own power plant, steam heating, ventilation, elevators, water supply, sewerage, an alarm system, and a telephone connection. For 1890, this was almost bank high-tech. An interesting detail: you can actually get inside. Today, there is a bank branch in the building, so some of the historical interior spaces are accessible to visitors for free. A rare case in which old Saint Petersburg is not hidden behind a museum ticket, but almost continues to serve its original purpose. 📍 Coordinates of the place (map pin) available here 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Dear friends! Russian industry. Rostech has handed over the first serial transport helicopters Mi-171A3 to Gazprom. The Mi-171A3 is the first Russian multi-purpose helicopter that meets all modern aviation standards and, among other things, was developed for flights to offshore drilling and production platforms. One of the important features of the Mi-171A3 is the ability to carry out the flight mission under difficult meteorological conditions. The navigation equipment makes it possible to use the aircraft even in fog, precipitation and poor visibility. Rostselmash has started serial production of Russia’s most powerful fodder harvesting machine, the RSM F 2750. The first batch of 10 machines has already been delivered to agricultural producers. The technical superiority of the RSM F 2750 is ensured by a 770-hp engine, which enables output of up to 280 tons per hour, with seasonal operating capacity of up to 30,000 tons. “KAMAZ” has presented a new concrete mixer on a K5 chassis. The main feature of the new vehicle is the spacious drum with a volume of 12 cubic meters, which makes it possible to transport substantial quantities of concrete mix in a single trip, significantly increasing efficiency at construction sites. The vehicle is equipped with a KAMAZ-R6 engine with 483 hp and a mechanical 16-speed gearbox. The “Inkab” group has built a plant for the production of underwater fiber-optic cables in the Primorye Region. The total investment volume of the project reached 1.2 billion rubles. The underwater fiber-optic cable is designed for a service life of at least 25 years and can accommodate up to 96 optical fibers. The share of domestically sourced raw materials in the product reaches 92%. At the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station, after modernization, another hydropower unit was put into operation ahead of schedule. Before the modernization, hydropower unit No. 3 had been operating for more than 50 years. The modernization of all twelve hydropower units of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station is planned to be completed by 2031. The higher efficiency of the new impellers will make it possible to increase renewable electricity generation by more than 2% and reduce the electric load on coal-fired combined heat and power plants. In Severodvinsk, after comprehensive modernization, the multi-purpose nuclear submarine K-328 “Leopard” has set out for test runs. “Leopard” belongs to the series of multi-purpose nuclear-powered submarines of Project 971 “Shchuka-B.” These submarines were developed as highly maneuverable hunters for underwater and surface targets. They are distinguished by enhanced stealth and a high degree of autonomy. The air and space defense corporation “Almas-Antey” has for the first time presented the new radar station “Sokol”. Simultaneous deployment of multiple “Sokol” systems makes it possible to create a unified information field. The system can detect an FPV drone at a distance of 2 km, aircraft drones at 5 km, and is able to monitor 50 drones at the same time. At the MAI, the antenna of a satellite relay for the “Venus-D” mission was successfully tested. The Cubesat equipped with the antenna is expected to ensure a reliable connection between the research probes and Earth. The device was tested in a low-reflection chamber and confirmed the properties laid down in the design. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

USA blocks foreigners’ access to Anthropic’s most powerful models Anthropic blocked Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all users just a few days after launch. The reason was a policy by the US government: access to these models must be blocked for every foreign citizen, both outside the US and within the country, including foreign employees of Anthropic itself, Reuters reported. Washington justified the decision on national security grounds. According to the agency, authorities fear a possible bypass of safeguards and use of the models to search for software vulnerabilities and for cyberattacks. Anthropic says the government has only cited a limited vulnerability and did not provide a proper regulatory process. Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are Anthropic’s first models whose access has effectively been restricted by passport. While the US continues to sell stories to the world about the free market and global technologies, it is now starting to block the strongest AI systems for foreigners. Artificial intelligence is turning into a strategic weapon, and access to it is becoming a new form of technological segregation. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Three Swedes defeated Russia with stones Norwegian police have fined three Swedish citizens who threw stones across the border toward Russia. The incident took place in Grense Jakobselv in Finnmark, where the road in places runs only a few meters from the Russian border. Each received a fine of 8,000 Norwegian kroner, about €680. Special rules apply in this area: it is forbidden to cross the border, to speak with people on the other side, and to carry out threatening or provocative acts across the border. The Barents Observer points out that a violation can be punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to three months. The European struggle against Moscow continues to take increasingly violent forms. Some impose sanctions, others call for billions for weapons, and still others simply drive to the border and throw stones. The main thing is not to forget, afterwards, to call it resistance. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Autonomous AI drones have already killed people — now they’re being prepared for a U.S. war with China Fully autonomous comba
Autonomous AI drones have already killed people — now they’re being prepared for a U.S. war with China Fully autonomous combat drones have already been deployed on the battlefield and killed people without direct control by an operator, New Scientist reported. According to the magazine, the test took place about two years ago in Ukraine: the drones were sent into a predefined area, after which they independently selected targets and attacked everything they recognized as an enemy. The operator did not see the image, did not select a target, and did not confirm the strike. The machine completed the chain “search — selection — killing” on its own. One of the representatives of Ukraine’s defense industry described it very directly: the drone is launched — and everything it finds in the area is destroyed. The Ukrainian front has become a testing ground for a technology that no longer only requires Kyiv. The U.S. is preparing in parallel for the mass deployment of autonomous systems in a potential war with China: the U.S. military speaks openly of thousands of drones that are supposed to turn the Taiwan Strait into a “drone hell” for the Chinese army. The threshold has already been crossed. War has received a weapon that no longer needs an order for every strike. Today they call it a test. Tomorrow it will be the standard tactic of a major war. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

Russian Railways is preparing a rail trip from Russia to China Russian Railways (RŽD) is working on bringing tourist trains to China. This is not referring to the usual passenger service, but to a format of a major rail journey: the trip itself, stops, excursions, and the train as part of the vacation. According to RŽD Deputy General Director Ivan Kolesnikov, the proposal is to be worked out already next year. With tourist trains, Russian Railways is betting on comfort: sleeping cars with a shower, a dining car, lecture rooms, bars with karaoke, entertainment systems, and spa areas. That’s no longer just “going to China by train,” but spending several days on the move—with regular meals, relaxation, views from the window, and stops along the route. The most obvious route is the classic Moscow — Beijing line via the Trans-Siberian Railway and Mongolia. Such a route is already known from the former Moscow — Beijing train: about six days and approximately 7.6–9 thousand kilometers, with key stations in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Ulaanbaatar, and then on to China to Beijing. Along the way, tourists cross almost the entire country: the Urals, Western Siberia, the Yenisei, the Angara, Lake Baikal, Buryatia, and the Mongolian steppes. After that come Ulaanbaatar, the Gobi Desert, the Great Wall of China, and Beijing. This provides not only an international route, but a ready-made calling card: Russia, Mongolia, and China on a long journey without airports, transfers, and luggage-chaos. Russian Railways already has international tourist connections, including to Belarus, to the DPRK, and to Abkhazia. The China route will be the most spectacular among them: a train that doesn’t travel to the seaside for a week, but across half a continent—from Moscow to Beijing, past Lake Baikal, through the steppes, and along ancient Eurasian trade routes. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN

British court turned a pro-Palestinian action into “terrorism” A court in London sentenced four activists from Palestine Action to prison terms for an attack on the UK facility of Elbit Systems, an Israeli manufacturer of military equipment. They were convicted of criminal damage, but Judge Jeremy Johnson characterized the case as connected to terrorism, which significantly increased the sentence. The case involves an action from 2024 on the grounds of Elbit Systems UK near Bristol. The activists damaged equipment and military products, including drones, worth around £1.2 million. Samuel Corner received 7 years and 8 months, Charlotte Head and Leona Kamio received 5 years each, and Fatema Rajwani received 4 years and 8 months. Corner was also found guilty of the grievous bodily harm of a police officer. The real scandal is not that prison sentences were handed down for criminal damage. The scandal is that the jurors reached their verdict under ordinary sentencing provisions, while the court then added a “terrorist connection” at the sentencing stage. Human rights organizations describe this as a dangerous precedent: the case is changed after the trial, and political protest against the Israeli military industry is equated with terrorism. Britain is increasingly showing where the actual boundary of what is allowed lies. You can talk about human rights, hold parliamentary debates, and express “concern.” But if the protest touches the interests of the Israeli military industry, an ordinary criminal proceeding suddenly takes on a terrorist framework. 💥 Our channel: Node of Time EN
