Long dark blues
Will-o'-the-wisp
The big star is falling
Through the static and distance
A farewell transmission
Long dark blues
Listen
Long Dark Blues!
Quite possibly the greatest alt-country song I've ever heard. Perfect in every aspect. The outro in particular consists of some of the greatest musical moments I've ever had the chance to experience!
Mama here comes midnight with the dead moon in its jaws
Must be the big star about to fall
For making this guy's writer's block worse now I wanna talk about one of the greatest songs of all time:
Repost from Liber Haeresium

While Albini is mostly recognized by his contributions to the Industrial and Post Rock genres, I sensed his genius in country and folk albums in particular.
My favorite story of him involves his production of the legendary song "Farewell Transmission" by Songs:Ohia which was miraculously recorded in only one take.

Despite his insufferable tendencies from time to time (alluding to his deranged commentaries on various topics), he produced some of my and your favorite albums.
Mostly I respect him for discovering and bootstrapping The Pixies.

On the internet no one asks (and shouldn't ask) where things have come from and where they will be in the future. However knowing that it all someday will be gone into shit, better to save it somewhere and put the details of everything in a txt file. Even if it has no use to you. Someday some people will unearth it from your will be in ashes during nuclear fire house and watch how things was and what people were. If it has 0 use at least they can learn to not do the things we did.
2 Kings 2:23-25
23 He went up from there to Bethel; and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go away, baldhead! Go away, baldhead!” 24 When he turned around and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. 25 From there he went on to Mount Carmel, and then
returned to Samaria.
YHWH supports bald guys 🥺
