📆 On September 8, 1943, the Red Army troops under the command of General Malinovsky liberated the city of Donetsk, which became the final point in the liberation of Donbass.
⭐️During the rapid offensive, the Red Army completely defeated 13 Wehrmacht divisions, advanced 300 km to the West and were able to reach the approaches to the Dnepr.
🚩 After the liberation of our region, over 40 formations and units of the Red Army were awarded the honorary titles of Artyomovsk, Gorlovka, Slavyansk, Stalino.
🕯 In total, about 66,000 Soviet soldiers and officers gave their lives for the liberation of Donbass, whose feat we honor and continue their work, liberating our land from the followers of neo-Nazism.

🇩🇪 The German invaders entered Makeyevka on October 22, 1941, and held the city under occupation for 22 months and 13 days.
🩸 During this time, they established 12 concentration camps for prisoners of war and four camps for civilians. Over 30,000 people were executed, and around 17,000 Makeyevka residents never returned from the front.
