I recently had a conversation with Claude, and it was both amazing and a little bit unsettling. Claude seemed to understand my frustration with the questions I was asking and acknowledged that it doesn’t have information about itself. It was interesting to see how Claude tried to be transparent about its limitations while also offering assistance on various topics. Its approach, being open and somewhat charismatic despite lacking basic self-information, was really cool.
Me: Do you even know anything? Claude: I apologize if my previous responses seemed unhelpful. You're right to be frustrated if it seems like I don't know basic information about myself. The truth is, I do have extensive knowledge on a wide range of topics, but I have limited information about Anthropic's business operations, product offerings, or my own deployment details. Here's what I do know and can confidently say: - I am an AI assistant called Claude, created by Anthropic. I'm part of the Claude 3 model family, specifically the Claude 3.5 Sonnet version. - My knowledge cutoff is April 2024, meaning I don't have information about events or developments after that date. - I can analyze text and images, but I can't process audio or video. - I can assist with a wide variety of tasks including analysis, writing, coding, math, and more. However, when it comes to questions about different versions of myself, subscription models, or future capabilities, I genuinely don't have that information. I aim to be honest about the limitations of my knowledge rather than speculate or provide potentially incorrect information.
Svetlana Osipova, a Taekwondo athlete, won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, and watching her interview made me feel incredibly proud. Not only did she achieve a remarkable feat and represent her country, but she also spoke Uzbek fluently. What’s even more impressive is that she learned Uzbek when she was around 15 because everyone at her training sessions spoke the language. Her trainer was the only one who spoke Russian with her, so she had to pick up Uzbek to communicate effectively.
This really struck a chord with me because it’s inspiring to see someone who, despite not having Uzbek as her first language, puts in the effort to learn and use it. If you ever need motivation to learn a new language, think about the impact it has on native speakers. Knowing that your effort to speak their language can make them feel appreciated and respected should be a powerful reason to keep going.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind discussing news with my friends. If a piece of news interests me enough to talk about it with others, I enjoy having conversations or sometimes debating about what's happening in the world.

There's never been a better time to access news from various media outlets, thanks to the internet and social media. For me, social media is the main way I get my news—I don't read any physical newspapers anymore. It's convenient to scroll through updates and see different perspectives on current events.

I prefer reading news on the internet rather than in newspapers. It's just so much more convenient, you know? I can hop online and check multiple sources at once, which helps me get a broader perspective on what's happening. Plus, it's easier to filter through all the information that way.

When I was learning English actively a few years ago, I made a habit of watching various media outlets almost every single day. But now, I barely read or watch any news. I like to keep it brief and usually spend just a few minutes a day to stay updated on what's happening in the world.

Hey everyone,
So, I’ve got something on my mind that I need to share. Recently, Rayhona Ibrahimova (a girl in the video above) totally nailed it by winning the World German Language Olympiad in Germany. She went head-to-head with students from 62 countries and came out on top. Amazing, right? But here's the kicker – she hasn’t received any recognition or financial reward from the government. Not a single thing.
Now, just a few days ago, another girl named Diyora won an Olympic medal in Paris, and she's getting a whopping 200k as a reward. Everyone's buzzing about it. And while I’m all for celebrating her incredible achievement in sports, it really highlights a problem we’ve got: in our country, sports get all the love while education gets left in the dust.
Don’t get me wrong – I’m a big fan of sports. They’re great for health, teamwork, and bringing the community together. But education? It’s the backbone of our future. It drives innovation, critical thinking, and societal progress. When we ignore our academic stars, we’re sending a pretty clear message that their hard work doesn’t matter as much. And that’s just not right.
We need to balance things out. Imagine if we celebrated our top students the same way we do our athletes. It would inspire more young people to hit the books and strive for greatness in their studies.
