Hello everyone!
I’m excited to introduce the YouTube Downloader shortcut
Download YouTube videos in up to 4K quality, with all encoding and muxing handled locally on your device, and in the background.
The shortcut requires a few actions from the Extra Actions app, so make sure to install it.
Install the shortcut

Give it a try and let me know if you run into any issues. Your feedback will help me make it even better🔥
| 2 | Hello everyone,
AMD and the AMD website will be temporarily down today for some internal migrations.
Sorry for the inconveniences this may cause. | 603 |

| 4 | Hello everyone,
I’ve been working on a standalone shortcut to handle YouTube downloads. It runs locally with no server connection. This is due to some internal changes from YouTube cracking down on downloaders.
The shortcut requires an app I built specifically for local media processing right in Shortcuts. So you don’t have to copy links or open any app. Once you install the app and launch it just one time. You’re good not to open it again.
The app just provides extra actions the Shortcuts app does not have.
It’s in review currently, once it goes live, I’ll publish the shortcut. The app itself is not a downloader, it only provides shortcut actions for local media processing like exporting a video, remuxing, trimming, etc..
Also, due to some changes I’m making in AMD, I’m not accepting new subscriptions/purchases. Once I’m done, purchases will be back.
The YouTube downloader shortcut is totally free. Everything runs locally on your device.
Once the YouTube Downloader goes live, YouTube downloads in AMD will be limited to only 360p and audio. | 1 202 |

| 6 | YouTube has made significant internal changes recently, making video downloads much more difficult.
Because of this, AMD’s YouTube downloader is currently unstable. Some videos may fail to download, although most YouTube Shorts are still working.
A lot of YouTube downloaders are currently affected by these changes. I’ve been working on a solution for the past few weeks, and I believe I’m getting close.
I’ll keep you updated as soon as everything is stable again.
Thank you so much for your patience and continued support. I truly appreciate it. ❤️ | 1 857 |

| 9 | Hello everyone,
I’ve been building something new: Cutlass, an AI-powered video editor. You just describe the edit you want and it does it for you.
It works fully offline, uses local AI models, and keeps everything on your machine. No uploads. No cloud processing. Your files stay private.
Launching first on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Mobile versions are coming later.
Early alpha release soon.

Due to previous errors regarding the saving and reading of the AMD key, the storage location for the key has been modified.
‼️This update requires the generation of a new key for functionality (a one-time process). ‼️
Please visit allmediadownloader.com/dashboard to create your key.
Should you encounter any issues, please submit them in the comments section below. | 1 551 |

Requires no key.
Share any YouTube url to it or copy the url and run the shortcut. Both works. | 1 596 |
| 16 | Hello everyone,
I noticed sometimes the key is randomly deleted from the amd folder, and you have to go through the process to create a new one. I really don't know why it happens and the cause, I'm still looking into it. An update to fix it will be released once I find solution.
Other internal improvements are ongoing, specifically for youtube higher quality download(up to 4K), I will make a post once it's ready.
Thank you all.

| 17 | Some time last year, I made a post about the current situation and future of my All Media Downloader shortcut.
Today, I’m sorry to announce that the shortcut is no longer free to use. I’ve been battling with this decision for a very long time.
The shortcut started as a tiny utility I used to download and cross-post content from social platforms. Today, it handles hundreds of thousands of downloads every day. In the very early stages, I used to scrape content from social downloader websites. As it grew, I knew that was going to hurt the owners of those platforms financially, so I had to reverse-engineer the social platforms myself and get the direct media download URLs.
It was going well until we reached thousands of downloads daily. Then proxies came in, because server IPs were getting flagged.
I later started a scraping business, and it was doing well. I bought proxies for the business and shared that usage with my AMD shortcut. AMD kept growing, and so did the cost of running it. I had no revenue from it, but I knew people loved it. It was simple to use and had no ads.
Later, I introduced an optional Pro subscription to support the shortcut’s maintenance and running costs. I had a few generous people who committed to supporting the shortcut, and I truly appreciate you all ❤️ But the support from a few people couldn’t cover the cost of millions of downloads every month.
Later, my scraping business went down, and I had no way to keep handling the cost of proxies. The shortcut started breaking and became unstable. Today it works, tomorrow it doesn’t. Social platforms keep changing their internal structures, and I have to keep up.
A few days ago, I released an update, and it now requires a paid key. Unfortunately, I have to do this or leave the shortcut to die. I can’t let it die, because I know there are people who love using it, people who have supported it, and I owe it to them to keep it alive.
Thank you all for listening, and I truly appreciate everyone’s support ❤️ | 2 050 |

| 19 | Hello everyone,
A new AMD update is out.
I’ve fixed the Instagram and Facebook download issues. YouTube is working too, but downloads are currently limited to 360p for now. I’ll improve that in a later update.
Because AI bots are heavily crawling web pages, Google and other platforms have changed parts of their internal server structure, so I’ll keep pushing updates and catching up with those changes.
With this update, you can now create a new key from your AMD dashboard at:
https://allmediadownloader.com/dashboard
Then tap “Open in Shortcut” to save your key directly into the AMD Shortcut.
I’m still doing my best to keep the shortcut free. As I mentioned before, it may eventually become a fully paid product, but I know not everyone can afford to spend extra money just to save something from the internet. At the same time, the cost of running this for free at scale is honestly high.
The AMD server now handles over 100,000 download requests every day.
If you’re able to, please support the project by subscribing to Pro on the AMD website.

If you previously subscribed to pro yearly in the smart bookmark app, you now have a lifetime pro access, you can cancel your subscription now, signup on the amd website, and text me your email & user ID from the smart bookmark app, so I can grant you pro access. I really appreciate you all❤️ | 2 258 |
| 20 | Hello everyone,
I appreciate your patience, the service has been restored and downloads are working now.
However, if you have any issues, please let me know.
