🚨Update The death toll from Friday morning's IRGC missile strike on a headquarters of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan in the Zrgwez area of Sulaymaniyah has risen to 9 Peshmerga fighters, with several others wounded.

🚨URGENT Iran targeted Komala in Sulaymaniyah! Komala (Organization of Revolutionary Toilers of Iranian Kurdistan) announced that 8 of its Peshmerga fighters were killed and others were wounded in missile attacks carried out in Sulaymaniyah this morning. A further 10 to 11 fighters from other Iranian Kurdish groups have been killed in several previous attacks since the war began.

A verdict has been issued in the case against Hussein Mohammad, who was abducted for ransom by factions of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in 2022 from the city of Serêkaniyê in North and East Syria. After failing to obtain a ransom, the armed group handed him over to Turkey, where he has stood trial since. The case, which was based on the FSA’s allegations, was retried before the 2nd High Criminal Court in Urfa after the Court of Cassation overturned the previous ruling. During the retrial, Hussein Mohammad was recognized as being under the age of 18. The court rejected the defense lawyers’ requests for further examination of the evidence and found Mohammad responsible for the deaths of three Turkish soldiers, sentencing him to four separate prison terms of 20 years each, totaling 80 years in prison.

Similarly, a 15-year-old Kurdish child from the Hasakah region of Rojava had his age increased, and a Turkish court sentenced him to four separate 20-year prison terms, totaling 80 years in prison.

US secretary of War Hegseth has stated that the USA intends to withdraw from Iraq by September 30th - it is not clear wether or not the US forces in the autonomous region of Kurdistan will remain. Here is the dark past of the newly appointed Syrian intelligence chief! Abdulqader al-Tahhan has been appointed head of the Syrian General Intelligence Directorate. Ebdulqadir El-Tehan (Abdulqader Al-Tahan), also known by the pseudonym Abu Bilal Quds. He was born in 1980 in the city of Aleppo. He studied Sharia sciences, and later completed his Arabic language studies at Idlib University. After the start of the Syrian civil war, he joined opposition armed groups and in 2012 founded the Quds Brigade (Katibat al-Quds). Later, he took on security duties in opposition-held areas. In 2025, he served as Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs in the Syrian Transitional Government. Then, on February 1, 2026, by a decree, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Interior with the rank of Major General (Liwa).

Residents of Al-Shaddadi, in the countryside of Al-Hasakah Governorate, held a protest against the high cost of living and the lack of job opportunities, calling for improved economic conditions and the creation of jobs to alleviate the population's suffering.

Protest in Al-Hasakah Countryside Over Deteriorating Living Conditions This morning, the town of Al-Atalah—located in the Al-Shaddadi countryside of Al-Hasakah Governorate—witnessed popular protests sparked by the deteriorating living and service conditions in the area. Protesters called for improvements to public services and the provision of basic necessities, expressing their dissatisfaction with rising prices and increasing unemployment, as well as the decline in water, electricity, and healthcare services.
