| 3 | 📏 10 Rules for Trading Candlestick Patterns
1️⃣. Location first: a pattern only matters at support, resistance or a trendline.
2️⃣. Reversal patterns need a clear trend to reverse.
3️⃣. Wait for the candle to close. A pattern isn't finished until it closes.
4️⃣. Wait for the next candle to confirm the direction.
5️⃣. Higher timeframes are more reliable. A daily hammer beats a 1-minute hammer.
6️⃣. Volume adds weight. Strong reversals usually come with higher volume.
7️⃣. Always set a stop loss beyond the pattern's high or low.
8️⃣. Risk only 1-2% of your account on a single trade.
9️⃣. Only take trades with at least 1:2 risk-to-reward.
🔟. Backtest every pattern on your own market before using real money.
A pattern is a clue, not a guarantee. Location + confirmation + risk control is the edge.

Open and close are almost the same, so the candle looks like a cross.
🤝 What it shows: buyers and sellers are in balance. The current move is losing steam.
❗ Rule: never trade a doji on its own. Wait for the next candle to show the direction.

• Standard: pure indecision
• Long-legged: big fight, no winner
• Dragonfly (long lower wick): bullish at support

A red candle whose body completely covers the previous green body, after an uptrend.
💥 What it shows: sellers took full control from buyers in one session.
✅ Confirmation: the next candle closes below the engulfing low.
🛑 Stop loss: above the high of the two candles.
⚡ Stronger when: it forms at resistance and the red candle is much bigger than the green one.
