Funny how time changes your perspective — I used to hate these games on NES as a kid. The brutal difficulty and clunky gameplay turned me away, but the arcade versions are a completely different story.
Ghouls’n Ghosts especially surprised me — the music, sound effects, and overall arcade atmosphere are fantastic. Nemo’s dreamy world also feels much more charming in its original arcade form. ✨
Looks like this is becoming a 35-game CPS1 Collection for PS4 ✨

The PSX version is the most censored, and its atmosphere feels noticeably different from the Sega CD release. But there’s a unique upside: Japanese voice acting + English subtitles is a really interesting combination.
