🚀 Mara Product Update 🚀 Enhancements and Innovations from Our Engineering Team! Our backend engineering team at Mara has been tirelessly working to bring transformative updates to our services, enhancing the overall user experience. Here's a sneak peek at the progress we've made: 🔸We redeveloped an existing ledger service that was built with a framework different from the previous payment service application we had. The intention was to create a unified base framework across all our backend services to ensure that we have a standard application communicating seamlessly and making it easy to debug possible technical issues while the products are in use by users. 🔸We created detailed documentation to help the Mara Community read and understand the ledger service, its purpose and functionalities, and how it can integrate with other existing services. 🔸We investigated the codebase and identified critical errors that would hamper functionality with Mara’s third-party integrations (especially for trade and payment service providers). 🔸We also identified areas in the payment service that interact with the ledger service that will be changed to contribute to the above-mentioned standardisation of all our backend services under one framework. 🚀 Current Focus Areas - The action points we are now tackling are the following: 🔸⁠Integration with new liquidity partners to bring 400+ assets instead of the previously limited selection 🔸⁠Refreshing user account balances to account for manual payouts to facilitate customer withdrawals made in Nov / Dec 2023. This will require two scripts to be written from the engineering point of view. They are as follows: •⁠ ⁠Writing a script to include new fields that will capture the current amount values for each user. •⁠ ⁠Writing a script to refresh user account balances accounting for manually completed withdrawals. Aside from the work done with the Exchange, we are working to develop our chain ecosystem.
