✴️finding? posterior blepharitis. ✴️cause? meibomian gland dysfunction. ✴️symptoms? 1- burning sensations. 2- photophobia. ✴️signs? 1- hyperemia of lid margin. 2- secrtion of oil globules. ✴️ttt? 1- lid hygiene. by warm compress and expression of mebomian sensation. 2- systemic tetracycline. #eyelids

✴️finding? bilateral Xanthelasma. ✴️causes? may be 1- hyperlipidemia. 2- corneal arcus. هذي مش متاكد منها. ✴️signs? 1- yellowish. 2- plaques. located at the medial aspects of eyelid. ✴️ttt? 1- No treatment. 2- Cosmetic نعطية عملية تجميلية ربما ب - surgical excision. or - destruction by argon laser. #eyelids

✴️finding? stye.( Hordeolum externum). ✴️def? acute suppurative inflamm... of zeis gland. ✴️cause? staphylococcus aureus. ✴️symptoms? 1- rapidly progressive. 2- painfull. 3- swelling at lid margin. 4- redness. 5- pus. ✴️signs? 1- tenderness. ✴️complications? 1- madarosis. 2- orbital cellulitis. 3- cavernous sinus thombosis. 4- recurrent. ✴️ttt? 1- local antibiotic. 2- hot compress ( hot fomentation)? 3- horizontal incision ( through skin) . and drinage. #eyelids

✴️finding? Symblepharon. التصاق eyelids ب globe بشكل عام او بشكل خاص نقول ب cornea ✴️def.. adhesion of palpebral conjunctiva to bulbar conjunctiva and ot to cornea. not pre-cancer. ✴️causes? 1- trachoma. 2-burn. 3- chemical injury. 4- recurrent pterygium operation. 5- vit. A deficiency. ✴️symptoms? 1- limiation of ocular movement. 2- binocular diplopia. 3-loss vision. ✴️ttt? 1- surgical separate of adhesion with mucus membrane graft. #eyelids

✴️finding? Chalazion ( Meibomain cyst) ✴️def chronic lipogranulomatous inflammation of Meibomain gland. ✴️cause? obstruction of Meibomain gland duct. ✴️symptoms: 1- slowly progressive. 2- painless. 3- swelling away from lid margin. 4- no tenderness. 5- no redness. ✴️signs; 1- no tenderness. ✴️complications: 1- recurrent. 2- cyst formation. 3- infection ( hordeolum internum). 4- lead to mechanical ptosis 5- if large in lower lid lead to Ectropion. ✴️tttt; 1-may be not required. because at least third of chalazia resolve spontaneously. 2- surgery vertical incision. ( through conjunctiva). #eyelids
