DOWNWARD REVIEW OF MTN CG DATA TO N227/GB FOR API USERS/RESELLERS. Taking Effect Shortly.

Hello All, We advice our customers not to make transfers directly from their Opay/Palmpay Accounts to their Unique bank accounts for wallet fundings. Reason: When issues occur such that the money is not reflecting in the user’s wallet and not been received by Monnify (after contacting Monnify), Opay/Palmpay do not take time to run a critical check on the payments if it actually got to the receiving end. Most times these payments could be successful on Opay/Palmpay’s end but hangs in NIBBS (Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement Systems). NIBBS is a channel used by all banks to complete interbank transfers in Nigeria. It is the duty of the sending bank to investigate the payment and ensure it gets to the receiver. But Opay/Palmpay only end up sending SESSION ID to the clients and concludes the transaction was successful. This may lead to the funds of the customer hanging for a long time sometimes months and even forever. Solution: If you are using Opay/Palmpay, first transfer the money to another commercial bank. And then make transfer from that commercial bank to your Unique bank accounts on Easy Access for wallet funding. This will help save you when issue arises as the other commercial banks can easily do a thorough follow up and ensure the customer gets value or a refund when such issues occur. Thank you.

Kindly Avoid Using Moniepoint for Auto-Wallet Funding via Bank transfers for now. It is down. Use other available banks.
