WHO member states will not be able to reach consensus on the pandemic agreement and will likely buy more time to finalise negotiations. Many diplomats from different countries believe that it is not possible to reach consensus on a number of outstanding areas before the end of 10 May, the last scheduled day to conclude these negotiations.
In a briefing to non-state actors on 9 May, Roland Driece, co-chair of the Bureau of the intergovernmental negotiating body, hinted that countries were unlikely to reach consensus on the pandemic agreement. He is reported to have said that only a miracle can help reach consensus in the final hours of negotiations.

WHO:s medlemsländer kommer inte att kunna nå konsensus om pandemiavtalet och kommer sannolikt att köpa mer tid för att slutföra förhandlingarna. Många diplomater från olika länder anser att det inte är möjligt att nå konsensus om ett antal utestående områden före slutet av den 10 maj, den sista planerade dagen för att avsluta dessa förhandlingar.
I en briefing till icke-statliga aktörer den 9 maj antydde Roland Driece, medordförande från presidiet för det mellanstatliga förhandlingsorganet, att det var osannolikt att länderna skulle nå konsensus om pandemiavtalet. Han ska ha sagt att endast ett mirakel kan hjälpa till att nå konsensus under de sista timmarna av förhandlingarna.

🇬🇧🇮🇪🇺🇸🇨🇦🇦🇺🇳🇿🇿🇦 Always something: AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine is withdrawn. Of course, the company does not admit that it is due to a lack of safety, instead claiming that the reasons for its withdrawal are purely commercial.
But those of you who follow us know better. All COVID-19 vaccines should be withdrawn, they should never have been authorised in the first place, and the companies should be sued. Let us sincerely hope that this will happen and that the truth will prevail.

🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰🇫🇮🇮🇸 Alltid något: AstraZenecas covidvaccin dras tillbaka. Bolaget erkänner naturligtvis inte att det beror på bristande säkerhet, de hävdar istället att skälen för att det dras tillbaka är rent kommersiella.
Ni som följer oss vet dock bättre. Samtliga covidvaccin borde dras tillbaka, de borde överhuvudtaget aldrig ha godkänts, och bolagen borde stämmas. Vi får innerligt hoppas att detta kommer att ske och att sanningen ska segra.

Today, the President of the Doctors' Appeal, Sven Román, gave a speech in Swedish and one in English in front of the same town hall, with the same message, on the occasion of the fact that, unfortunately, all citizens of the world have been living in very troubled times for more than four years.
