FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS FOR TRIUMPH OVER TEMPTATION.m4a15.41 MB

SATURDAY WORKER'S TRAINING SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 2026 GS MESSAGE FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS FOR TRIUMPH OVER TEMPTATION   JAMES 1:2; JOB 1:8-12; JAMES 1:12,14-15,2 Many people are limited in their understanding of temptation which makes them not to do well: i. Adam did not see the anything wrong in the presentation of the forbidden fruit to him. ii. Abraham did not recognize Sarah’s offer of Hagar as a temptation, he assumed it is not wrong since it was coming from his wife. iii. Aaron did not see it as a temptation when the people request to make a golden calf for them to worship. iv. The ten spies did not think it was temptation to speak out their minds about the promise land. What followed? The whole nation roamed in the wilderness for 40 years. v. Achan did not think of any life-threatening danger in the appeal of the goodly Babylonish garment and the wedge of gold. He thought the owners have died and it will be a waste, so he took them. vi. Hezekiah was a good king who would have died but after praying, God gave him additional 15 years. Afterwards, friends, including the Babylonians, came from far to rejoice with him on his recovery. vii. Joshua was not conscious of any temptation after winning many battles, but he fell to the antics of the pretending Gibeonites. He had made a league with them before realizing his mistake.   We are looking at all these cases so that we will know that it is not only through immorality that temptation comes, but through diverse means. Not recognizing the diversity of temptation makes a deadly trap look like a neutral toy or a desirable treasure. Jesus said, “watch and pray...”.   SUB-TOPICS 1.
