These challenges severely impact our academic performance, physical health, and overall well-being. My details are as follows: - Name: - Registration Number: On behalf of the student community, I request the Examination Committee to consider two critical structural modifications to the current examination pattern: 1. Introduction of a One-Day Gap Between Examination Papers The current schedule requires students to appear for vast, highly technical papers on consecutive days without any rest. - Inadequate Revision Time: The syllabus for both the Executive and Professional levels is extensive. The current half-day window between papers is insufficient to revise comprehensive legal provisions, amendments, and case laws. - Physical and Mental Fatigue: Writing strenuous three-hour professional exams on consecutive days leads to severe sleep deprivation and mental exhaustion. This prevents students from performing to their optimum potential. Proposed Solution: We earnestly request the Institute to introduce a mandatory one-day gap between exam papers. Scheduling exams on alternate days will allow students sufficient time to revise, rest, and approach each paper with a clear focus. 2. Optimization of Examination Centre Allocation Policies Currently, many students are allocated test centres located very far from their residential addresses. - Loss of Crucial Study Time: Travel times often extend to several hours each way, causing students to waste invaluable revision hours sitting in transit. - Exhaustion Before Exams: Long distance commuting under stressful conditions leaves students physically drained before they even enter the examination hall. Proposed Solution: We request ICSI to improve its centre allocation framework by introducing a student-preferred centre selection option during exam form submission. Enabling students to choose their closest micro-zone or specific venue will drastically minimize travel fatigue. Conclusion ICSI has always maintained the highest professional standards while prioritizing the welfare of its students. By introducing alternate-day exams and localized centre options, the Institute will ensure a fairer evaluation process. This change will also support the mental health of future Company Secretaries.
