Imagine a verb like a single building block. A phrasal verb is like sticking another block, a preposition or adverb, next to the verb. Together, these two blocks create a whole new meaning, different from what each block meant on its own.

| 6 | Imparare l’inglese in modo “alternativo”, come lo propone Annie, è stato per me non solo efficace, ma anche sorprendentemente divertente. L’integrazione del Tapping durante le lezioni ha reso tutto più leggero: non solo l’apprendimento, ma soprattutto la gestione dell’ansia da prestazione, che spesso compromette la nostra capacità di capire e parlare una lingua straniera.
Con Annie ogni lezione è un’esperienza piacevole e mai pesante. Considerando che molti di noi lavorano tutto il giorno, l’idea di affrontare una lezione serale può inizialmente scoraggiare… ma vi assicuro che non è così! Dopo soli 10 minuti si entra nel ritmo, si è coinvolti, presenti e pronti a cimentarsi in conversazioni, letture o esercizi che prima sembravano fuori portata.
Ovviamente lo studio personale tra una lezione e l’altra fa la differenza, ma la cosa più importante che ho imparato è che non ho più paura di sbagliare. Annie mi ha aiutato a superare il timore di essere giudicata dagli altri e soprattutto a superare il mio di giudizio, grazie alla sua accoglienza ed al suo entusiasmo nell’insegnamento. | 7 | Dear Annie good morning, mancano 5 lezioni alla conclusione del corso e vorrei ringraziarti per la tua professionalità, disponibilità, leggerezza e, last but not least, la passione che ci metti.
Avevo bisogno di fare pratica e con il tuo corso mi è tornata la voglia di parlare ed usare l’inglese ogni giorno, come quando vivevo all’estero some years ago. In più ci invii materiale molto utile per fare pratica ed approfondire la lingua.
Una bella scoperta è stata la tecnica del tapping che adesso uso quotidianamente anche in situazioni che possono portare agitazione o ansia e grazie a questa tecnica mi sento più sicuro nel parlare inglese rispetto a prima del corso che invece ero titubante non usandolo da tempo.
Inoltre il tuo modo coinvolgente di insegnare è quello giusto come fanno all’estero per imparare una lingua, diversamente da come viene fatto da “insegnanti” in Italia.

🇬🇧 In inglese, quando canti vittoria troppo presto, si dice: 👉 "To speak too soon" (Parlare troppo presto).
Example: "I thought the heat wasn't a problem this year, but I spoke too soon!" (Pensavo che il caldo non fosse un problema quest'anno, ma ho parlato troppo presto!)

1. Basic Meaning:
"Get" usually means to obtain or to receive.
• I got a new phone. (I bought a new phone.)
• Can you get me some water? (Can you bring me some water?)
• I must get some new clothes. (I need to buy new clothes.)
• He got a job at a bank. (He obtained a job at a bank.)
• Did you get my message? (Did you receive my message?)
• She got a ticket for the concert. (She bought a ticket.)
• We need to get some groceries. (We need to buy groceries.)
• He got a promotion at work.
• Let’s get some coffee. (Let’s buy some coffee.)
2. "Get" + Adjective = Change of State
"Get" can mean to become when used with adjectives.
• It’s getting cold. (It is becoming cold.)
• She got angry. (She became angry.)
3. "Get" + Place = Arrive
"Get" can mean to arrive somewhere.
• What time did you get home? (What time did you arrive home?)
