Israeli regime Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the uprooting of around 3,000 trees planted by Palestinians in the northern occupied West Bank, openly linking the attack to settlement expansion and efforts to block the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The trees, reportedly olive trees, were removed from about 50 acres of land near the "Shaked settlement" to pave the way for expanding an industrial zone and building a new settlement, as part of broader Israeli plans already approved by the occupation regime.
The destruction comes amid a wider campaign of occupation and agricultural targeting, with repeated uprooting of Palestinian trees that form a key source of livelihood, while illegal outposts linked to settler violence continue to expand across the occupied territory.

Israeli occupation military blinds northern settlements by disabling rocket impact prediction system over hacking fears
The Israeli occupation army’s Home Front Command has disabled a tracking system used by first responders in northern settlements due to fears that hackers has infiltrated the network, Ynet reported on Thursday.
The civilian emergency management system, known as "Shual," which previously provided local leaders, settlers and emergency teams with precise coordinates of rocket impact zones, was shut down to prevent hackers from using the data to calibrate the accuracy of future strikes.
This move comes amid a tightening of occupation military censorship that has gripped the occupation since the June 2025 war against Iran, as Tel Aviv moves to conceal the extent of damage to its strategic and military infrastructure.
Local regime officials in the Galilee and Kiryat Shmona have reacted with outrage, warning that the occupation military’s decision has left them "operationally blind" and unable to effectively coordinate rescue efforts. Assaf Langleben, head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, told Ynet that it is "absurd" that Hezbollah possesses better intelligence on impact sites than the Israeli regime officials tasked with responding to them. Other civil security officers described the current situation as operating like "blind mice," accusing the occupation army of choosing an easy technical fix that "irresponsibly punishes" the residents of the north while Hezbollah continues to target the region daily.
The shutdown follows a significant surge in successful espionage operations within the occupied territories, with Haaretz revealing this week that hackers has secured sensitive personal data on high-ranking researchers at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). Since October 2023, over 60 Israeli settlers have been indicted for spying on behalf of Iran, often documenting strategic locations in exchange for financial incentives. According to the occupation army spokesperson, the system was restricted specifically to prevent further "harm to information security" as the intelligence war between the Islamic Republic and the Israeli occupation continues to escalate.

Thirty U.S. House Democrats have called for an end to Washington’s “official ambiguity” regarding Israel’s nuclear weapons program, urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to provide full transparency.
In a joint statement, lawmakers said the U.S. is effectively aligned with a country whose nuclear capabilities it refuses to acknowledge, warning that this double standard undermines non-proliferation efforts in the Middle East.
They stressed that Congress has a constitutional duty to understand the region’s nuclear balance and risks of escalation, noting that Iran’s nuclear pursuit does not occur in a vacuum but is influenced by the perceived capabilities of others, including Israel.
The lawmakers concluded by calling on the U.S. to hold Israel to the same standards of transparency applied to all other countries regarding nuclear weapons.

Save the Children UK warned that Israel’s newly passed execution law contains no clear exemptions for children, raising concerns that Palestinian children could be subjected to capital punishment.
The organization said introducing an irreversible death penalty into a system already marked by abuse would constitute a serious violation of children’s rights, calling for the law’s immediate withdrawal.
It also criticized the UK government for opposing the measure without taking concrete action, stressing that no child, especially Palestinian children, should face the threat of execution.

Leaked remarks from Israeli Central Command head Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth reveal that Israeli occupation forces are “killing like we haven’t killed since 1967,” including the fatal shooting of Palestinians.
Bluth acknowledged that Israeli occupation forces deliberately apply different rules to Palestinians and settlers, admitting that soldiers shoot Palestinians while avoiding attacking Israeli settlers, openly stating: “Yes, it involves discrimination.”
He also described policies allowing soldiers to deliberately shoot Palestinians in the legs at the separation barrier, leaving behind what he called “limping monuments,” as a deterrence tactic against those seeking work.
