የኢትዮጵያ ወንጌላዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን መካነ ኢየሱስ ፕሬዚዳንት ቄስ ዶ/ር ዮናስ ይገዙ በመንዲ ከተማ በማኀበራነ ምዕመናን እየተሰሩ የሚገኙ የአምልኮ፣ የገቢ ማስገኛ እና የትምህርት ቤት ግንባታዎችን ጎብኙ። በጉብኝታቸውም የዳኮ ማህበረ ምዕመናን የአምልኮ ህንፃ ግንባታ የደረሰበትን ደረጃ፤ የመንዲ ደቻ ሀፈላ ሮሆቦት አንደኛ ደረጃ ት/ቤት ግንባታው በደረሰበት ደረጃ ወደ ስራ በመግባት እየሰጠ ያለውን ግልጋሎት፤ በመንዲ ማ/ም በመገንባት ላይ የሚገኝ ለበርካታ አገልግሎቶች መዋል የሚችሎ ከ6 ወለሎች በላይ የሚይዝ ህንፃ ጎብኝተዋል። ባዩትም ነገር እጅግ መደሰታቸውን በመግለጽ ለህንፃዎቹ ማጠናቂያ በሚያግዙ ስልቶች እና ተጠናቀው ለአገልግሎት በሚውሉበት ወቅት ሊያሟሏቸው በሚገቡ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ከማኀበራነ ምዕመናኑ መሪዎችና አገልጋዮች ጋር መክረዋል። * * * * * * * President of the EECMY, Rev. Dr. Yonas Yigezu visited worship, income generation, and school building projects led by congregations in the city of Mendi. In the visit, the president saw the building progress of the Dako congregation worship hall, Mendi Decha Hafela primary school giving service in its current construction stage, and the Mendi congregation multipurpose income generation building that will hold 6+ floors when completed. Expressing his joy on the progress he observed, the president consulted with the congregation ministers and leaders on strategies that help complete the buildings and elements the building should consider during completion.

The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission, Addis Ababa Synod Branch Office (EECMY-DASSC-AAS-BO), launched “The Empowering Persons with Disabilities (EPWD)” Project on May 22, 2025, in Addis Ababa. የአባይ ዳቡስ ሲኖዶስ 5ኛ መደበኛ ጉባኤ ቀጣይ የሲኖዶሱን መሪዎችን በመምረጥ በስኬት ተጠናቋል። _ _ _ ጉባኤው የሲኖዶሱን ፕሬዚዳንት ቄስ ጌታሁን ተክሌ መርኀ ንግግር ሰምቶ ተወያይቷል። ፕሬዚዳንቱም በሀገር ዓቀፍ ደረጃ ያጋጠሙ ችግሮች በሲኖዶሱ ላይ ተጽዕኖ ያሳደሩ ቢሆንም የእግዚአብሔር ሥራ አንዴም ወደ ኋላ አለማለቱን በመግለጽ ንግግራቸው ጀምረዋል። ቀጥለውም የጉባኤውን ትኩረት በሚሹ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ሥልታዊ ዕቅድ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ስልጠና፤ በመዋቅር ተዋረድ ስለተቀመጠው የአስራት አስራት ፖሊሲ አተገባበር ክፍተት፤ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ደረጃ እየተሰራባቸው ባሉ ሰፋፊ ፕሮጀክቶች በሲኖዶሱ ስላለው የአክሲዮን ግዢ አስተዋጽኦ እና በዋናነት የቤተ ክርስቲያን ቀዳሚ ሀላፊነት ስለ ሆነው የሀገር ውስጥና የውጪ የሚስዮን አገልግሎት ተሳትፎና ተጨማሪ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ፕሬዚዳንቱ ሰፊ ንግግር በማድረግ የውሳሄ አቅጣጫዎችን አመላክተዋል። ጉባኤውም መርሓ ንግግሩን አድምጦ ውይይት በማድረግ በሙሉ ድምጽ ተቀብሏል። በመቀጠልም የጸሐፊውን እና ከል/ማ/አ/ኮ የቀረበውን ሪፖርት በማድመጥ ሰፊ ምክክር አድርጎ ውሳኔ በሚገባቸው ጉዳዮች ላዬ አቅጣጫ በማስቀመጥ እና ለሲኖዶሱ ካውንስል ቀሪ ጉዳዮች ለክትትል መርቷል። በማጠቃለያውም ጉባኤው ለቀጣይ አራት ዓመታት ሲኖዶሱን የሚመሩ መሪዎችን የመረጠ ሲሆን፤ በዚህም መሰረት:- ቄስ ፈቀደ መረባ የሲኖዶሱ ፕሬዚዳንት፤ ቄስ መገርሳ ዋቅቡልቾ ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት፤ አቶ አበራ ሂረና አቃቤ ንዋይ በመሆን ሲኖዶሱን ለቀጣይ አራት አመታት የሚመሩ ይሆናል። የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ፕሬዚዳንት ቄስ ዶ/ር ዮናስ ይገዙን ጨምሮ የአጎራባች ሲኖዶስ ፕሬዚዳንቶች ጉባኤውን ተካፍለዋል። ፕሬዚዳንቱም ለምዕመናን የመጋቢነት መልዕክት በማስተላልፍ ከጉባኤው ተሳታፈዎች ቤተ ክርስቲያንን በሚመለከት ለተነሱ ጥያቄዎች መልስና በተለያዩ ጉዳዮች ላይ ማብራሪ ሰጥተዋል፤ አዲስ የተመረጡትን የሲኖዶስ መሪዎች ስለ ለአገልግሎታቸው ታማኝነት ቃለ መሃላ አስገብተዋል። ሲኖዶሱን ለቀጣይ አራት አመታት ለመምራት ለተመረጡ መሪዎች ቤተ ክርስቲያን መልካም ምኞትዋን በመግለጽ ለአገልግሎታቸው ሥኬት ትፀልያለች። * * * * * * * EECMY Abay Dabus Synod 5th assembly was completed successfully after electing leaders for the coming four years. _ _ _ The assembly consulted after hearing the synod president, Rev. Getachun Tekile's opening remark. Although the challenges at the national level affected the synod, God's work was never delayed for once said the president opening his speech. Following that, the president indicated matters that need the attention of the assembly, such as the need for training on the revised strategic plan of the church, gaps on the implementation of "Tithe to Tithe" policy which in under practice within the structure, stock share contributions of the synod on the projects held by the church, and majorly on the synod engagement in local and global mission of the church, and other issue's were also adressd in his remark. Potential resolution was also indicated by the president. After hearing the opening remark and productive discussion, the assembly accepted the opening remark in fully accepted. Following that, the assembly heard reports from the Secretary of the Synod and the office of DASSC. The assembly has also consulted the reports presented and passed decisions for implementation and follow-ups to be made by the council of the synod. In conclusion, the synod assembly elected its leaders for the coming four years. With this; Rev. Gekede Mereba was elected as President, Rev. Megersa Waqbulch was elected as V. President, and Mr. Abera Hirena was elected as Treasurere of the Synod. President of the Church, Rev. Dr. Yonas Yigezu and neighboring synod presidents attended the assembly. After conveying pastoral messages, the president responded to questions raised by assembly regarding the Church and gave clarity on important issues. The newly elected leader of the synod has given vow for their commitment to the ministry led by the president of the Church. The Church would like to congratulate the newly elected leader prayerfully.

Throwback Thursday (1955) The first conference of all-Africa Lutherans took place in November 1955 in Marangu, Tanzania. There was much hope and enthusiasm for this meeting as it was an important step for unity among Lutherans on the continent as African nations gained independence from colonial powers. Reflecting on his time in Tanzania, Dr Emmanuel Abraham, former President of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus and one of five chairpersons for the conference remarked in his keynote speech: "Fellow Christians from whichever part of Africa you may be coming, be of good cheer for your salvation in the fullest sense draweth nigh….Whatever the odds, it is incumbent on each and every one of us as followers of Christ to tackle the task before us in the spirit of Christ. ወጣቶችን ለመሪነት የማዘጋጀት ስልጠና በሆሳና ተሰጠ _ _ _ የኢ/ወ/ቤ/መ/ኢ በልጆች እና ወጣቶች አገልግሎት መምሪያ የተዘጋጀው 'ወጣቶችን ለመሪነት የማዘጋጀት ስልጠና' በሆሳዕና ከተማ ተካሄዷል። ስልጠናው ወጣቶችን በሁለንተናዊ መልኩ በማብቃት ለመሪነት ማዘጋጀት በሚል ሃሳብ የተዘጋጀ ሲሆን በማዕከላዊ ደቡብ አካባቢ ያሉትን ሶስት ሲኖዶሶችን: ማለትም ማዕከላዊ ደቡብ ሲኖዶስ: አምበርቾ ብላቴ ሲኖዶስ እና ምዕራብ ጊቤ ሲኖዶስ መሪዎች እና ወጣቶችን ያሳተፈ ነበር:: ከስልጠናው ባሻገር ወጣቶችን ለመሪነት በማዘጋጀት ህደት ላይ ሰፊ የምክክር ጊዜ የተደረገ ሲሆን: ለተሳታፊዎች በሙሉ ለቤተክርስቲያን ሁለንተናዊ አገልግሎት የሚጠቅሙ መጽሐፍቶች ተሰጥቷል። በምክክሩ የተሳተፉ የሲኖዶስ መሪዎች ስልጠናው ወቅቱን ያገናዘበ እና ወጣቶችን ወደ አመራር ለማሳደግ የሚረዳ መሆኑን ገልጸው: በተሰጠው ስልጠና መሰረት ተግባራዊ እንዲሆን ሁሉም የድርሻውን እንዲወጣ መልዕክት አስተላልፈዋል። የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ የልጆች እና ወጣቶች አገልግሎት መምሪያ ዳይሬክተር ወንድማገኝ ኡዴሣ ወጣቶችን ለመሪነት የማዘጋጀት ስልጠና ወጣቶችን በሁለንተናዊ መልኩ በመቅረጽ በሁሉም የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ መዎቅሮች ለመሪነት እና ለአገልግሎት ማዘጋጀት ላይ ትኩረት ያደረገ: በሌሎች የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ ሲኖዶሶችም እስከ 2027እኤአ የሚቀጥል መሆኑን ገልጸው : ለስልጠናው ስኬት ድጋፍ ያደረጉ ተቋማትን በሙሉ አመስግነዋል። * * * * * * The ‘Youth Leadership Development Training’ organized by the EECMY Children and Youth Ministry Department was given in Hosanna City. _ _ _ The training was developed to empower youth in a holistic manner and prepare them for leadership roles. It involved leaders and youth from three synods in the Central South region, namely, the South Central Synod, the Ambericho Bilate Synod, and the West Ghibe Synod. In addition to the training, an extensive consultation period was held on the subject of preparing young people for leadership. All participants were given books and materials that would be useful for the holistic ministry of the church. Synod leaders who participated in the consultation and training stated that the training was timely and helpful in developing youth into leadership roles. They conveyed a message that everyone should do their part to implement the training provided in their context. The director of the church's children and youth ministry department, Wondmagegn Udessa, stated that the youth leadership development training focuses on preparing youth for leadership and ministry at all levels of the church in a holistic way. It will continue in other church synods until 2027. He expressed gratitude to each and every partner group that helped with the training. EECMY Youth Ministry
