🔴Attacks on Rojava - Update 16.01. Major fire near Derik - attack on IS prison in Heseke For the fourth day in a row, the Turkish state's attacks on the population in northern and eastern Syria continue unabated. On Monday, seven electricity stations were destroyed within 24 hours. More than 50 facilities attacked in 48 hours. On Monday evening, a major fire broke out at a gas plant in the Dêrik region after it was bombed. Oil and gas production facilities in the region were also bombed. In Qamişlo, a residential area was apparently attacked indiscriminately by Turkish drones; it is not yet clear whether there are any casualties. In Heseke, the Sinai prison was also hit by bombs. However, escape attempts by the IS fighters imprisoned there were prevented. In January 2022, there had been an uprising there in which the prisoners tried to break out with the support of Turkey.

Emergency security meeting called by Erdogan. After initial reports about massive losses Turkish forces were dealt by the Freedom Guerrilla last night already infrastructure in Rojava was targeted by Turkish airforce. Possible tha something more massive will be on the table as the AKP-MHP regime is desperate to hide the hige losses.

According to Kurdish Telegram channel this was published by Turkish newspaper after Guerrilas overrun Turkish positions in #Zap and deleted after the threat by Turkish Interior ministry: "Very sad news came 20 martyrs and 17 injured"

🔴 BREAKING: Again airstrikes by Turkey on Rojava According to the latest reports, the Turkish air force is once again carrying out massive airstrikes on cities in north-eastern Syria.
