Earlier this month, the Ethiopian Federal Advocates Association (EFAA), represented by its President, Tesfaye Deresse, took part in the regional consultations held during the East Africa Law Society (Official) Bar Leaders Council meeting in Diani, Kenya. Bar leaders from across the region discussed shared priorities, including the independence of Bars, the role of professional associations in safeguarding the rule of law, and the emerging impact of artificial intelligence on justice systems. EFAA’s active participation reflects its commitment to mutual learning, professional self‑regulation, and constructive regional collaboration. Prior to the Bar Leaders Council meeting in Diani, President Tesfaye—together with the EALS President Ramadhan Abubakar, MBS Abubakar and fellow Council members participated in an important engagement in Nairobi, where the delegation held a significant meeting with H.E. William Samoei Ruto, PhD, President of the Republic of Kenya, at State House. The discussion highlighted the vital role of the East Africa Law Society (EALS) in promoting the rule of law, strengthening cross‑border legal practice, and deepening cooperation among East African Bars. We extend our sincere appreciation to EALS for facilitating these impactful and forward‑looking engagements. This marks a promising start to the year, and the new EFAA leadership remains committed to strengthening its partnership with EALS and expanding collaboration with regional and global Bar associations. የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራል ጠበቆች ማህበር (EFAA) በምስራቅ አፍሪካ የሕግ ማህበረሰብ (EALS) ምክር ቤት የምክክር መድረክ ላይ ላይ ተሳተፈ ፣ በዚህ ወር አጋማሽ ላይ የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራል ጠበቆች ማህበር (EFAA) ፕሬዝዳንት አቶ ተስፋዬ ደረሰ ፣ በዲያኒ ኬንያ በተካሄደው የምስራቅ አፍሪካ የህግ ማህበረሰብ ምክር ቤት ከሌሎች የማህበራት መሪዎች ጋር በቀጠናዊ ምክክር መድረክ ላይ ተሳትፈዋል። በዚህም መድረኩ ላይ የቀጠናው የጠበቆች ማህበራት መሪዎች በጋራ ቅድሚያ በሚሰጣቸው ጉዳዮች ላይ ተወያይተዋል ። ከነዚህም መካከል የምክክር መድረክ ላይ የጠበቆች ማህበራት ነጻነት ፣ የህግ የበላይነትን በሚመለከት ሊኖራቸው ስለሚገባ ጉልህ ሚና እና የሰው ሰራሽ አስተውሎት ለህግ አገልግሎት ያመጣውን ትሩፋት እና የደቀነውን ስጋት በተመለከተ ውይይት ተደርጓል። የኢ.ፌ.ጠ.ማ (EFAA) ንቁ ተሳትፎ ማህበሩ ለጋራ ትምህርት፣ ለሙያዊ የራስ-ቁጥጥር እና ለአዎንታዊ ቀጠናዊ ትብብር ያለውን ቁርጠኝነት የሚያንጸባርቅ ነው። በዲያኒ ከተካሄደው የመሪዎች ምክር ቤት ስብሰባ አስቀድሞ፣ ፕሬዝዳንት ተስፋዬ የምስራቅ አፍሪካ የህግ ማህበረሰብ (EALS) ፕሬዝዳንት ረመዳን አቡበከር እና ከሌሎች የምክር ቤቱ አባላት ጋር በመሆን በናይሮቢ በተካሄደው ጠቃሚ መርሃ-ግብር ላይ ተሳትፈዋል። በዚህም ልዑኩ በኬንያ ብሔራዊ ቤተ-መንግስት (State House) ከኬንያ ሪፐብሊክ ፕሬዝዳንት ክቡር ዶ/ር ዊሊያም ሳሞይ ሩቶ ጋር ውጤታማ ውይይት አድርጓል። ውይይቱም የምስራቅ አፍሪካ የህግ ማህበረሰብ (EALS) የሕግ የበላይነትን ለማስፈን ፣ ድንበር ተሻጋሪ የሕግ አገልግሎትን ለማጠናከር እና በምስራቅ አፍሪካ የጠበቆች ማህበራት መካከል ያለውን ትብብር ለማሳደግ ያለውን ወሳኝ ሚና ያጎላ ነበር። እነዚህን ተፅዕኖ ፈጣሪ እና ወደፊት ተመልካች የሆኑ መድረኮችን ላመቻቸዉ የምስራቅ አፍሪካ የህግ ማህበረሰብ (EALS) ልባዊ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን። ይህ ለማህበሩ ተስፋ ሰጪ ጅምር ሲሆን ፣ አዲሱ የኢ.ፌ.ጠ.ማ (EFAA) አመራር የምስራቅ አፍሪካ የህግ ማህበረሰብ (EALS) ጋር ያለውን አጋርነት ለማጠናከር እንዲሁም ከቀጠናዊ እና ዓለም አቀፍ የጠበቆች ማህበራት ጋር ያለውን ትብብር ለማስፋት ቁርጠኛ ነው ።
