Gurgaon Center- Mechanical-IOCL PI GD GT Sept 7th Personal Interview There were 5 members and one among them is a HR. Everyone were super polite and supportive. 1. What were you doing after passing out from college? ( I passed out in 2023, this is very commonly asked as I got to know from fellow candidates irrespective when we actually passed out) 2. Why IOCL why not other companies? 3. Why haven’t you thought of giving GRE/ GMAT? 4. How would you add value to IOCL? 5. Can you explain the entire supply chain of how we get petrol and diesel at petrol pumps? ( this can be answered from PPT presentation. As suggested by Amrinder sir, Varun Pathak sir carry a short note book and note down which ever you find important) 6. Asked about Petroleum Refineries ( For which I said I have not much idea over, it is recommended if you get some info regarding this ) 7. Basic questions on Heat Exchangers ( Every thing can be answered from Kakkar sirs notes) 8. What are your strengths and weaknesses? 9. Can you speak Hindi? (As I come from Andhra Pradesh (P.S I can speak Hindi)) Group Discussion There were 2 Psychologists that conducted GD and GT, before starting the give the instructions and they themselves told that we can speak in English or Hindi. Topic 1 : Making National Anthem to be played in all public gatherings, movies etc mandatory. Topic 2: Should India adopt Economy based reservation over caste based reservation. Group Task We were asked to discuss among ourselves and come up with the percentage split of things that will keep us happy. (For ex. 30% Good Health, 20% good profession, 10% abundance of Money etc)

GD Topic:- What should be the measures as a society we should take for increasing crimes against Women GT Topic:- Your team is allotted 100 crores and you are assigned a task to design an Ideal School for students either Private or Government. Interview :- 1. Tell me something about yourself ( I introduced briefly) 2. As I am from Jaipur, so they asked a few questions related to city & culture 3.. Why you want to Join IOCL 4.. What are the effects of Nitriding on steels & on which are they preferred 8. What is stiffness & which will have more stiffness in circular bars with diameter of D or 2D 9. Question related to Viscosity
