One day you log into uNivUS and realise, this is the last time you will ever need this app.
The next time, and perhaps last time, I'll visit NUS as a student will be for my commencement ceremony.
Reminder to download your transcript in advance (before results day) because you won't be able to download it for a short period while they are updating our grades to Edurec!!
Confused what people are unhappy about. The full set goes for $41 and my transportation will maximum be $5 on adult MRT fare. Some people are really hard to please =.=
Going to sell my gown (full set) here if none of my juniors reach out after commencement so please stay tuned if you’re graduating in 2027!
I don’t intend to profit so it’ll be cheap, just covering my transportation cost.
Just collected my gown at Serangoon Broadway. Was a surprisingly quick process in under 15 minutes. I also came an hour early earlier and they let me in because it was empty.
I knew the size I wanted (M, because I’m tall) and the headwear was the only thing I was unsure of so it sped me up.
Do bring your student pass/show your commencement email to prove your identity on top of having your QR code ready!
Payment is by NETS, the alumNUS tote bag is free!
Do check for your zippers, velcro on the hood and that the hook on the hood is well sewn on!
I do reccomend doing a quick sweep of job openings on TalentConnect before it goes down because there are times when some firms like to hire off TalentConnect and not recruit openly on Linkedin. Past examples include UniCredit, big real estate firms and TD.
Seeing NUS Next Bus app being discontinued is quite saddening. It accompanied me through 4 years of university, praying as I alight at KR MRT that the next bus is not 15 minutes away, and praying that I somehow catch the last bus of the night on my way to supper stretch.
Might be a good thing for future students to have uNivUS as the "super app" but this is a nostalgic moment for an alumni >.<
Genuine question: when do we lose excess to our student privileges?
Does our NUS card go bye bye the moment this semester officially ends? Or do we continue to have access to NUS libraries and rooms until our graduation ceremony?
It is finally hitting me as I realised that I might not finish reading the books I have on my list by the end of the month >.<
I also had this weird moment at a salon near NUS where they asked if I’m a student (for student price) and I said yes but realised that this is the last time I get to say it because in May I will no longer be a student 0.0
I didn't realise that it is a phone number plan earlier but I suppose if you have a device that can support multiple esims, you can pay for the number to gain access to the AI models and ignore the phone number. Circles Life apparently has really bad connectivity on some MRT lines.

For fellow Y4s who are soon to be NUS Alumni, it might be worth checking out this site in your free time!
You will be able to take a course for free after graduation - like French 1.

Also, ChatGPT does a pretty good job at that already, so there's really no need to be paying anyone $30 to do it for you >.<
This summer project idea arose from seeing some paid services for resume critique being made available and I just thought I can probably do it and make it free. If my "service" is shitty, at least it was free.
When I first created this channel, I created it alongside a Reddit account and Tellonym!
I have since deactivated both of them and am no longer active on any other platform. I will likely open up means for communication -- maybe a new tellonym? -- over the summer (May-July) and answer questions about anything career/education related as a means of paying it forward.
After July, I will fully focus on my full time job and no longer do anything NUS related (maybe occasional alumni related things) >.<
