Explanatory Note from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, 02.07.2026 EXPLANATORY NOTE From the time of Saint Paul VI until the most recent discussions held at this Dicastery, the numerous attempts to bring the adherents of the movement initiated by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre back into full communion with the Catholic Church have proven futile. This situation has been further aggravated by the recent episcopal consecrations celebrated without papal mandate, against the will of the Holy Father, in open violation of canon law. Therefore, this Dicastery, in the faithful exercise of the functions entrusted to it, deems it necessary to note that this act constituted the crime of schism, with canonical consequences for the sacred ministers and lay faithful involved. Indeed, as already declared in 1988, "such disobedience—which entails a practical rejection of the Roman Primacy—constitutes a schismatic act" (cf. John Paul II, Apostolic Letter Ecclesia Dei, 3). In this regard, from now on: The sacred ministers belonging to the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are in schism and must therefore be considered schismatic (cf. Ecclesia Dei, 5 c; Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts, Explanatory Note on the excommunication for schism incurred by adherents of Bishop Marcel Lefebvre's movement, August 24, 1996, 5-6), and are subject to the excommunication provided for by law (can. 1364 § 1 CJC). As for the lay faithful, those who formally adhere to the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X under the conditions established in the Explanatory Note of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts of 1996 (cf. ibid., 7), still in force, which this Dicastery adopts, are to be considered schismatic and excommunicated. Finally, the Holy People of God are warned that the sacred ministers of the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are administering the sacraments illicitly and that the sacrament of penance they administer and the marriages they assist are invalid. The Church, as a caring mother, will welcome with sincere affection and heartfelt solicitude all those who wish to return to full communion. The Apostolic Nuncios will establish procedures that Ordinaries may use in various cases. Finally, all the faithful are exhorted to remain steadfast in communion with the Roman Pontiff, with the Bishops in communion with him, and with the whole Church (cf. Lumen Gentium, 22; can. 751 CIC), and to abstain from participating in the celebrations and activities promoted by the aforementioned Priestly Society of Saint Pius X. “Rome shall apostatize from the Faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ and return to its ancient paganism... Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning, invisible; hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking places; for a time it shall be swept, as it were from the face of the earth. Such is the universal testimony of the Fathers of the early Church." -Henry Edward Cardinal Manning, (The Present Crisis of the Holy See [1861]) "The prophecies of the Apocalypse show that Satan will imitate the Church of Christ to deceive mankind; he will set up a church of Satan in opposition to the Church of Christ. Antichrist will assume the role of Messias; his prophet will act the part of the Pope, and there will be imitations of the Sacraments of the Church. There will also be lying wonders in imitation of the miracles wrought in the Church." - E. Sylvester Berry, STD (The Church of Christ: An Apologetic and Dogmatic Treatise [1927; reprinted 1955])

I’m seeking prayers for my dad who is probably in Hell or Purgatory, but I’m not sure. I tried my best to keep them alive in 2020 but he died in the hospital. He was a Vietnam vet who struggled with drug addiction and mental health. His name is ed. Thanks if anyone can pray for him real quick. I just did a rosary for all souls who have no one to pray for them.

Has anyone seen "Catholic" Nick Fuentes going to mass, calling on his followers to repent, praying or asking for prayers and so on? I haven't. What I have seen is him using profanity & vulgarity, making questionably homosexual commentary, and recently supporting Jews.

"We have in heaven the heart of a Mother — the Virgin Mary, our Mother — who suffered beneath the Cross as much as any human creature could possibly suffer. You understand our sorrows; therefore, console us. Let us thank God and ask Him for forgiveness, for He has deigned to allow our nothingness to come into contact with the treasure of His grace. Faith! Have faith! God is both the remedy and the physician." - St Leopold Mandić

In his Summa Theologiae, St Thomas Aquinas laid out one of the most charitable yet practical arguments concerning immigration that effectively shaped the West for almost 1,000 years. 1. Immigration must always be proportionate so that foreigners can properly assimilate into the culture and mode of worship of the state. 2. Citizenship – and associated rights – should only ever be granted after the third generation to preserve the culture, mode of worship, and constitution of the state. 3. The common good of the citizens must remain the highest priority of the state, meaning, the state's obligation to provide aid to its neighbours can never be at the expense of the citizens. However, Aquinas ends with the sobering reminder that some peoples and states are incompatible with one another, and these must be held as "foes in perpetuity". https://www.newadvent.org/summa/2105.htm

Admin gets married in a few weeks, please pray for us both, and that the nuptial mass would cause a conversion in the hearts of those attending who do not know God.

If you're too afraid to ask out a woman from your parish or unwilling to shelf your material wants, sacrificing your time and money to perhaps go abroad and let God lead you to her - whether interstate or international - recall the story of a non-Catholic English composer, William Walton, a secular man whose wife died in 1948. Barely six months after her death he traveled to Argentina and met a woman 24 years his junior (he was 46, she was 22), and continually proposed to her, most notably the first time they met. Allegedly, she laughed it off as ridiculous. He visited her daily and continued with the propositions, until one day he skipped a day. Supposedly she was worried that he had lost interest, enjoying the game of cat and mouse, and somehow prompted him to ask again, leading to her acceptance. He wasn't even Catholic, but she was - they had a civil ceremony in a time which was probably Advent (it was December) of that same year his previous wife had died. Apparently they had a 'Catholic ceremony' soon after, a toleration by the church, and never a recommendation. What sounded to me a romantic story when I had first heard it became somewhat disturbing after reflection - an atheistic or agnostic secular man assertively pursuing a Catholic woman, leading to her compromise of faith and morals for his sake. I can't pretend to know if he converted or not, but it's said they endured marriage happily until Walton's death. If you're a Catholic man too afraid to make sacrifices to pursue women, remember that there's some atheist/pagan/protestant who may do anything to give her all she wants and none of what she needs, and whether or not that leads to both their sanctification and salvation, only God knows - though it really is a flip of the coin compared to the safe rule: marrying a truly devout Catholic man or woman. Truly I believe that is, in a way, the fault of all Catholic men today - as it was back then in the 40's.

Any woman with "trans children" should be treated as if she is making sacrifices to satan in secret.
