And I ask of You for the capability to be thankful for Your blessings and to worship you in a correct and good way. And I ask of l You for a heart which is purified in l belief and free from desires and a l truthful tongue. And I ask of You for the best of what You know, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of what You know and I seek forgiveness for that which You know. You should not marry a man who you fear has evil qualities. These conditions that you wish to include into a contract are embarrassing and humiliating. The man provides for his family. Whatever you willingly give is sadaqah, so you can’t ask for it back. The fact that a woman would seek it back says a lot about her poor character. How does a husband provide for his wife emotionally? Rather, he is obligated to follow the Sunnah in his treatment of her. And she must do the same. A man and woman are both obligated to lower their gazes. From these questions, I can see this woman is not ready for marriage as she is seeking reasons to leave before she has even married. I advise her to read my book on the righteous wife.
