Jigjiga University, in collaboration with the FAITH Project Step III, organized an impactful workshop aimed at strengthening the linkage between university and industry. This event entitled with “Eastern Ethiopia Industry Cluster Workshop” was attended the university's top management, led by President Beshir Abdullahi, Ph.D., as well as representatives from Eastern Ethiopia's industries, stakeholders and esteemed guests. In his opening remarks, Dr. Beshir Abdullahi emphasized the workshop's goal of enhancing the synergy between the university and industries to produce highly skilled professionals tailored to meet industry demands. He underscored the critical importance of fostering robust industry relationships, particularly as Jigjiga University advances to an applied university, preparing students with practical skills and real-world experience.

Students Digital Literacy Training! ********************* We're thrilled to share that our Digital Literacy Training for the 2016 Exit Exam is off to a fantastic start! Jigjiga University’s Institute of Technology kicked off the training on Monday, May 13, 2016, and already sessions for the College of Education and Behavioral Studies, as well as the College of Social Science and Humanities completed successfully. Hats off to our dedicated students who actively participated in the sessions, alongside their college deans and department heads and we're grateful for the efficient support provided by the JJU Lab Directorate. Building on lessons learned from previous training, we've implemented significant enhancements to better align with exam requirements, ensuring our students are well-prepared for success. Exciting news for Godey City residents! 🎉 Get ready for the long-awaited implementation of a much-needed project in your city! *********************** Today marks a historic moment as Jigjiga University, Godey City Administration, and the SRS Urban Development and Construction Bureau come together to sign a tripartite agreement for the construction of a state-of-the-art slaughterhouse in Godey. This collaborative effort aims to address the city's growing demand for modern animal slaughterhouse services, catering to the needs of our community in the most efficient and humane manner. On behalf of Jigjiga University, Vice President for IoHs&RH, Dr. Abdilahi Hussein signed the agreement and affirmed that Jigjiga University will take a lion's share and full commitment for the implementation of this project. With the project's design finalized, we're thrilled to announce the commencement of construction, with an estimated cost of 85 million birr.
