What the 226 family and 250 had going for them was their reliability. When you're a "muh navy seal" or a LEO, that meant a lot. But yes, compared to other first gen semi-autos in some quintuple blind test of other handguns, the accuracy and speed of Sigs were always bottom of the board, but that wasn't the point, they were "accurate enough" for an otherwise good duty gun.
