*Listening Sub-test*
- Working through free sample tests is a great way to prepare for the Listening sub-test.
- The Listening sub-test has a total of 42 marks available, with Part A accounting for 24 marks, Part B for 6 marks, and Part C for 12 marks.
- A range of accents are used across all three parts to reflect the global nature of the healthcare workforce.
- You can lose marks for spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes in the Listening sub-test.
*Reading Sub-test*
- The Reading sub-test has a total of 42 marks available, with Part A accounting for 20 marks, Part B for 6 marks, and Part C for 16 marks.
- You should write your answers clearly in the spaces given in the question booklet for Part A.
- For Part B and Part C, you must shade the circle next to the appropriate answer.
- You must use correct spelling in the Reading sub-test to get the marks.
*Writing Sub-test*
- Although work is now mainly done on a computer, most medical professionals still have to prepare letters as part of their regular practice.
- The writing task requires you to select and organize relevant information and present it in a clear, accurate form that is appropriate for the intended reader.
- Spelling, along with punctuation and grammar, is one of the aspects included under Language.
- There is no automatic penalty for writing over or under the word range for the task (180 – 200 words).
