Teaching plural nouns and 3rd person singular in Present Simple? How to turn boring grammar into an exciting game?
Easy as ABC! Just give the children coloured pencils and sharpeners! And if the topic of the lesson is irregular plurals, then pens with caps will be great.
How to use all this in the lessons? Look at these colourful photos and happy faces of the students and you will get everything at once.
⚠️ The secret of this activity is that children need not just to find the appropriate sharpener and match, but also to "sharpen" the pencil till the necessary letter, which allows them to clearly see how the ending changes.

You often lack time to prepare worksheets and materials for the lessons, don't you?
So let the children make them for each other right in class!
Option 1. Children draw hands in their watches, then exchange the papers with a neighbour, their task is to fill in the missing information.
Option 2. Children choose one of three things: draw hands in the clock, write the time in the “electronic scoreboard” (23:25) or make up a sentence (It's half past ten), and the partner needs to fill in the missing information. Then they check each other together.
In addition, the worksheets can be used to refresh Present Simple. The students work in pairs and tell each other what they do during the day (at 7 p.m, at 3.30 p.m etc.) or ask questions: What do you usually do at ...?

What do you know about?
A cool game suitable for the development of critical thinking and speaking skills. It will help to revise what has already been studied or to test the students’ initial knowledge on various topics in an exciting way.
The rules are quite easy - the players take turns throwing a die and moving their chips to the appropriate number of steps. They take cards with words and then more advanced students come up with any fact they know about the object, topic or event, and the lower levels just call any characteristic (colour, size, shape, purpose, etc.).
📄 Sample words and categories are in the file, as well as a blank for creating your own cards that are suitable for your students.

Making up questions is a pain in the neck for students (they sometimes forget auxiliary verbs, don’t change the form of the verb or add unnecessary endings), mostly because those who often ask them are the teachers.
This game will help students to master this important skill by coming up with general and special questions (from the most elementary to complex) according to the given answers.
The game is presented in the form of a classic board game and card game that can be used both for drilling and warm up, as well as for revision, working out or consolidating of interrogative sentences.
