I remember a few years ago, way before I got into politics. When I had a conversation with an elected representitive an he said “ our biggest problem is NOT those who are elected but the civil servants. He said, while we replace those at the top, the civil servants are years at their posts and then I see something like this and it makes sence.. This guy is earning nearly a half a million a year, a half a million folks and we are paying his wage, even though this entity is falling apart, the HSE is on its knees.. Anyone at this stage wanting to be elected that are not talking about this problem and not talking about a reform of our civil services, are no good to this nation.. no good.
