📣 Nit europea de la recerca La Nit de la Recerca torna a la UAB! 📆 Enguany serà el divendres 27 de setembre de 17 a 22 h al Campus UAB. Trieu el format de la vostra activitat: microxerrada, taller, demostració, joc, concurs... o proposeu-nos la vostra idea i mirarem de fer-la realitat. Us animem a ser creatius i cercar formes que contagiïn al públic la vostra passió per la ciència i la recerca. [🇬🇧] #HiloTesis competition (June 1-15) The UAB participates in the fourth edition of the competition "Your doctoral thesis in social media: (#HiloTesis)", organized by Crue Universidades Españolas. Participants must explain their doctoral thesis in a single thread of a maximum of 20 tweets on the following platforms: 🔸X (former Twitter) 🔸Threads 🔸Bluesky 🔸Mastodon or 🔸Create a slideshow on Instagram (10 pictures max.) A simple, accessible and attractive language must be used. 📅 The contest will run from 00.00 h on June 1 to 23.59 h on June 15 2024. 🏆 Six 500€ prizes will be awarded 🤩 thanks to funding provided by the Larramendi Foundation. 📣Concurs #HiloTesis La UAB participa a la quarta edició del concurs «La teva tesi doctoral en xarxes socials (#HiloTesis)» que organitza Crue Universidades Españolas. Les persones que hi participin han d'explicar la seva tesi doctoral a un fil de màxim 20 posts a: 🔸 X (antic Twitter) 🔸Threads 🔸Bluesky 🔸Mastodon O 🔸Utilitzar el carrusel d’imatges d’Instagram (amb un màxim de 10 imatges) Hauran de fer servir un llenguatge senzill, accessible i atractiu. 📅El concurs es desenvoluparà entre les 00.00 h de l'1 de juny i les 23.59 h del 15 de juny de 2024. 🏆El concurs comptarà amb sis premis de 500€ cadascun 🤩, gràcies al finançament aportat per la Fundació Larramendi. [🇬🇧] NEW TRANSFERABLE SKILLS TRAINING Communicating Science Date: 10 to 26/06/2024, Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 12 h Mode: on-site Language: English Trainer: Servei de Llengües Addressed to: first stage researchers with an accredited B2.2 English level and who do not have English as a native or native-like language The Doctoral School organises, together with the Languages Service, this course aimed at the production of texts for scientific dissemination, both oral and written, to learn how to use plain language to reach non-specialised audiences. ⚠️Requirements: ✔️Successful completion of English level 5 (B2.2 of the CEFR, or equivalent) in the last two years. Otherwise, candidates will need to take a level test. ✔️A minimum attendance of 75% is required. Do you feel overwhelmed by pressure? Are you worried about your relationship with your supervisor and your team? Do you find it difficult to mantain a good work/life balance? According to recent studies, earning a doctorate, although gratifying, can also be a mentally challenging process. For that reason, the Doctoral School has organised this 4-session course that, by using coaching and mindfulness techniques, will give you tools to combat the anxiety, fears and frustrations that may arise during this training phase. Et preocupa la relació amb el teu supervisor o supervisora i amb la resta del teu equip? Tens dificultats per conciliar el doctorat amb la teva vida personal? Segons els estudis més recents, la consecució d’un doctorat, tot i ser una experiència molt gratificant, pot ser també un procés mentalment difícil. Per aquesta raó, l’Escola de Doctorat organitza aquest curs de quatre sessions que, mitjançant tècniques de coaching i pràctiques de mindfulness, tracta de proporcionar eines per combatre l’ansietat, les pors i les frustracions que poden sorgir en aquesta etapa formativa.
