What is Bitcoin Halving? 🤔 Think of Bitcoin like gold. New Bitcoin is created as a reward for miners who help process transactions and secure the network. Every 4 years, Bitcoin automatically cuts that mining reward in half. This event is called Bitcoin Halving. For example: Before a halving: A miner earns 6.25 BTC. After a halving: The same miner earns 3.125 BTC. Why does this matter? Because fewer new Bitcoins enter circulation. If demand stays the same or increases while new supply becomes scarcer, Bitcoin’s price has historically tended to rise over time, although it’s never guaranteed. In simple terms: 🪙 Halving = Less new Bitcoin being created. 📉 Lower supply + Strong demand = Potential for higher prices. Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21 million coins, and halving is one of the mechanisms that helps keep it scarce. Hope you learnt something today? 😉
