SCHOLARS OF YEMEN This channel has been relaunched with a new name and a unique focus. Its purpose is not merely to share benefits from the scholars and mashāyikh of Ahl al-Sunnah in Yemen—such as lectures, reminders, clips, and translated benefits—so that people may benefit from their knowledge in an organised and accessible manner. Rather, its primary goal is to expose the world to the sheer number of scholars and mashāyikh of the Sunnah found throughout Yemen. How many major scholars and mashāyikh of the Sunnah do you think Yemen has? Five? Ten? Twenty? Thirty? Forty? No. There are hundreds—perhaps even thousands—of scholars, mashāyikh, students of knowledge, and callers to the Sunnah spread across the country. This is a long-term initiative connected to our @StudyingInYemen project. Through it, we aim—in shāʾ Allāh—to transform how people across the world view the daʿwah of Ahl al-Sunnah in Yemen. Our goal is to produce between five and ten videos for every scholar and shaykh of Ahl al-Sunnah in Yemen, eventually amounting to thousands of beneficial videos. Through this, we hope to establish a vast and organised index of trustworthy scholars and mashāyikh from whom knowledge may be taken. Unfortunately, many Salafīs have been deceived by ḥizbīs and charlatans into believing that Salafiyyah is restricted to a small, select group of scholars. This could not be further from the truth. The daʿwah of Ahl al-Sunnah in Yemen is vast and blessed, and this project aims to document, organise, translate, and showcase it to the world. May Allāh place barakah in this project, grant it sincerity and acceptance, and make it a means of spreading beneficial knowledge. Anyone who wishes to assist the project through translation, video editing, design, research, or organisation is welcome to contact us. Daʿwah is not a solo mission. The greater the sincere cooperation, the greater the benefit—by the permission of Allāh. CURRENT TEAM Abū ʿAyyāsh al-Jabartī Abū Rifq Ādam https://t.me/scholarsofyemen

Such belittlement may eventually harm you. “A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he does not oppress him, forsake him, or look down upon him.” Recorded by Imām Muslim in his Ṣaḥīḥ on the authority of Abū Hurayrah, may Allāh be pleased with him. I have been forsaken, as have the daʿwah and the men of the Sunnah, by Allāh. People have been discouraged from me and from the daʿwah. Fitnah has been stirred up against me and against the daʿwah. For what sin? Show me one reason, other than al-ʿAdanī, for the assault that has taken place against the daʿwah. Show me any other reason for this affair! All that I did was speak about some of my students and clarify their condition—such as ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdanī and those like him. Does that give you the right to stir up this fitnah? I say that this is the epitome of ghulūw—going beyond the limits of the religion—and the epitome of Ḥaddādiyyah: that one exaggerates regarding an individual, forms allegiance and enmity for his sake, and splits the daʿwah because of him. He is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdanī, and he is not worthy of that. He is, at best, a student who does not even have a scholarly treatise. The most that he does is beguile Shaykh Rabīʿ by saying, “I am with you, O Shaykh. Do whatever you wish. The centre is your centre”—meaning, Fuyūsh—“O Shaykh, do as you please,” along with this type of pretence and manipulation. Shaykh Yaḥyā then quoted an adage which roughly means: “My friend is the one who is honest with me, not the one who believes me regardless of what I say. Hold fast to the one who warns you against poverty and despair, and beware of the one who carelessly says to you, ‘There is no problem, there is no problem.’” The daʿwah is beloved throughout many lands, and all praise and thanks belong to Allāh. It is beloved because of its Sunnah, tawḥīd, and goodness. So benefit from your brothers from Ahl al-Sunnah, and let them benefit from you. Let mutual brotherhood be established and efforts be joined together. Additionally, I warn you against attempting to stir up the students in revolt, for this causes harm, brings about no benefit, and does not please Allāh. Evil schemes return upon their plotters. Allāh says: “And the evil plot only encompasses those who make it.” [Fāṭir: 43] Put yourself in my place. If I were to stir up your students against you or carry out these actions against you, how would you react? After that, when we returned from Saudi Arabia, Shaykh Muḥammad al-Waṣābī came to visit us. He then met with Abū Mālik ar-Riyāshī, who told Shaykh Muḥammad: “Shaykh Rabīʿ says: Take the affair seriously and remove him immediately”—meaning, Shaykh Yaḥyā al-Ḥajūrī.” ——— Footnote [1]: 24 Examples of the Opponents’ Transgressions Against the Wronged ʿAllāmah! https://t.me/alhajuri_org/1113 Source: https://t.me/alhajuri_org/1112 Original translator unknown, consequently edited by Abū Rifq Ādam. Shaykh Yaḥyā al-Ḥajūrī Did Not Initiate the Fitnah in Yemen! Our Shaykh, Al-ʿAllāmah, Yaḥyā ibn ʿAlī al-Ḥajūrī—may Allāh preserve him—said: “This is clear and plain advice to the noble father, Shaykh Rabīʿ, may Allāh preserve him, and to all those previously mentioned. This uniting against us, one after another, and these constant attacks against the daʿwah are not pleasing to Allāh. The most that can be said regarding this affair is that I am defending myself. From that time until now, I have challenged them to bring one individual against whom I first initiated oppressive speech. Rather, by Allāh, I strive to maintain love and brotherhood between myself and Ahl al-Sunnah. As for those who rebelled against me—ask them! Look at the introductions of their books, those from among my students and many others, and see how I praised them. Then, suddenly, they began revolting against me, one after another, each one inciting the next and each one riling up the other. Then, if I speak about this one and then another, and refute him, as Allāh says: “Allāh loves not that evil should be spoken openly, except by the one who has been oppressed.” [An-Nisāʾ: 148] They say, “This is Ḥaddādiyyah! You speak about the scholars, so who do we have left to take from?” O my brother, fear Allāh. You all gather against me and against the daʿwah, and then you do not want me to respond? You do not want us to defend ourselves? [1] My brother, how is this? Allāh will say on the Day of Judgement: “I have appointed against you a witness from your own self.” Recorded by Imām Muslim in his Ṣaḥīḥ on the authority of Anas, may Allāh be pleased with him. I will not remain silent while this one or that one attempts to refute me. This is not permissible. O Shaykh Rabīʿ, may Allāh grant you success. You yourself said, “Indeed, the greatest stronghold—meaning, of Islām—in the world is Dammāj.” I oversee Dammāj, and I am in charge of it due to a trust. There is no separation between me and it. You cannot remove me, put yourself in control of it, and assume authority over it—you and some of the authors who accuse me of dictatorship. I am not a dictator; I am a teacher. I teach the people goodness by the permission and favour of Allāh upon me. I call to tawḥīd, the Sunnah, and knowledge. I strive in that regard, seeking the reward from Allāh. I strive to maintain love and goodwill, and I do not initiate transgression against anyone. They began by transgressing against me and slandering me; I did not initiate slandering them. They called me a fool. The Prophet Hūd, peace and blessings be upon him, was called a fool by the mushrikīn. However, this falsehood did not harm him. They used a great deal of money to turn people against me and draw my students away, taking them to Maʿbar or somewhere else. They incited them, making it out to be a Salafī network between us, only to benefit themselves while excluding us. If the daʿwah collapses, it will neither benefit Shaykh Rabīʿ nor me. Likewise, if any of us are ruined or go astray, it will not benefit the daʿwah. If I am ruined or go astray, by Allāh, it will not benefit Shaykh Rabīʿ, nor will it be in his interests. Likewise, if Shaykh Rabīʿ is ruined or goes astray, it will not benefit me, nor will it be in the interests of the daʿwah. Whoever is lost from the daʿwah, it is not in the interests of the daʿwah. The only one who will benefit from this is the intelligence service previously mentioned. They benefit from the destruction and tearing apart of the Salafī daʿwah, whether here or elsewhere. I have remained patient, by Allāh, out of eagerness that this does not occur. The most that I have done is speak about the condition of some of my students here—meaning, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdanī and those like him. It is not for anyone to defend falsehood of any kind. Our Shaykh, Muqbil ibn Hādī al-Wādiʿī, spoke about some of his own students who caused fitnah against him, my brother. Why did you not cause the same disorder then? Or is it that you look down upon me? That is not correct.

BEWARE THE HONOUR OF MUSLIMS Ibn Daqīq al-ʿĪd—may Allāh have mercy on him—said: “The honour of the Muslims is a pit of Hellfire. Two groups from the people are standing at the edge (of this pit): Al-muḥaddithīn wa-al-ḥukkām (i.e. the scholars of ḥadīth and the judges, due to how they have to speak about the conditions of narrators).” [Al-Suyūṭī, Tadrīb al-Rāwī fī Sharḥ Taqrīb al-Nawawī, 2/892] ═══✺✺═══ Translated by: Riḍwān al-Kīnī https://t.me/gemsofthescholars https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb8DZ1zLCoX1ZdFuvm3G
