We have to discuss these issues in concrete terms. The problem with the GOP media machine is that it's entirely based on outrage and no concrete ideas. I occasionally flip on the local "conservative" talk radio station, and every time I do, it's the same thing over and over, with no real pushback on offer—"can you BELIEVE what the leftist freaks did/said today!?"—an endless cycle of "Imagine if the Roles Were Reversed." If people are willing to settle for that kind of "analysis," then we might as well skip the extra steps and distill it down to the whining and crying that it really is. It's a form of learned helplessness: "Wow, can you believe that leftists are willing to pursue and exercise power in order to get their way?" People are right to be outraged about the damage liberal elites and leftist freaks have inflicted upon our countries. But if we want to simply whine about it, we might as well all just log off and go vote for false opposition "conservatives."
