Karl von Frisch is known mainly for his research on the “language” of bees.
He explained the ways bees use to communicate information to each other.
Bhaskara II, was launched on November 20, 1981 from Kapustin Yar onboard the Intercosmos launch vehicle.
It was launched to conduct earth observation experiments for applications related to hydrology, forestry, and geology and to conduct ocean-surface studies using Satellite Microwave Radiometer (SAMIR).
Throughout the mission, Bhaskara II was successful.
Despite the problem faced by one of the two onboard cameras, the satellite sent more than two thousand images which were used for many studies.
