☘️ Agree / Disagree
✅ Q: Leaders and directors in an organization are normally older people. Some people think younger leader would be better. Do you agree or disagree?
💡 Answer:
It is true that higher positions are prevalently held by aged members in many organizations these days. While some people believe younger people would demonstrate better leadership, it is in my opinion that senior managers possess more advantages over the young in leading a company.
To begin with, it is usually difficult for the young to compete with the old in terms of experience. Those who have gained adequate experience can more effectively manage to lead the individuals of an organization than those who do not. The reason for this is that business matters often require the people in charge to have not only the knowledge of coping with problematic situations but also strong nerves to calmly find a feasible solution. As a result, years of experience in a relevant position tend to make the elderly better candidates than those who are relatively young and new to the tasks.
Another advantage belonging to aged people is that they are likely to receive more support from the people in an organization. As the time spent working with the staff of the senior is often longer, they can understand their colleagues better, achieving more popularity. It is interpersonal communication skills and approval of other people that can tremendously affect the success of a leader. Younger members, on the other hand, will need more time to make contributions over time to prove themselves worthy.
In conclusion, I believe that critical positions of authority should be given to senior staff members for the certain reasons mentioned rather than the young.

| 13 | Some people think that people are responsible for their happiness. Others feel that happiness depends on other factors in their life. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
The definition of happiness varies from person to person and from culture to culture, and there is a heated debate over whether individuals can make themselves happy or happiness depends heavily on other external factors. In my view, happiness is a combination of individual efforts and other influences in life, which are outside one's control.
Some argue that being happy is only up to the individual and their own endeavors. This argument totally makes sense because we can definitely choose to be happy by, for instance, deciding to take up an interesting pastime or hobby. This is especially true for those whose beloved diversion is doing shopping, since - research proves - it boosts dopamine levels in their brain, which is the pleasure hormone. Another reason for this side of the debate is linked to one's career. No one can force us to do things that we don't enjoy, and we possess full control over our choice of jobs. Artists and musicians, for example, may not earn a large amount of money as politicians or businesspeople do, but they opted for these life paths to satisfy their interests and, of course, to pursue happiness.
Nonetheless, other uncontrollable factors also play an equally essential part in increasing our level of contentment in life. One of them is our background. Being born in a country that prioritizes political stability, economic prosperity and individual well-being tends to make a person happy, when they compare their lives with those living in a war-torn and economically struggling nation. The second, albeit no less significant, factor at play is people that surround us. We are more likely to be happy when someone we appreciate and love reaches new heights, rather than when they fail.
Overall, I believe that both sides of the discussion carry equal weight. This is because, we can make ourselves happy, on the one hand, by our life decisions, such as an engrossing pastime or a fulfilling job, and, on the other, through other factors: our backgrounds and people around us.

☘️ Agree / Disagree
✅ Q:It is better for children if the whole family including aunts, uncles and so on are involved in a child’s upbringing, rather than just their parents.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
💡 Answer:
Many today feel that is important for the entire extended family to play a role in child-rearing, while others feel that parents are sufficient. In my opinion, the whole family should be part of the process.
Those who doubt the value of the whole family in raising children often point out the potentially negative influence of particular relatives. In an ideal world, each family member would impart their own unique, mature perspectives in the interests of raising a well-rounded child. In practice, many relatives are more likely to serve as bad examples or contradict the efforts of the parents. The best case scenario with such individuals is confusion and in more extreme cases it could lead to developmental problems. There is even the possibility that a close relative is engaging in physical or mental abuse of a child without the parent’s awareness.
Nonetheless, the instances above are exceptions that can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis; in most families extra help lessens the burden on parents. A good example of this would be in countries with very tight-knit families such as in Asia and South America. There it is very common for aunts, uncles and the extended family to lend a hand with raising children. The main benefits of this are for parents and children. Parents get a much needed break from looking after their kids. Children benefit from the undivided attention of their relatives. When they come back home, their mother and father are also more likely to feel recharged and fully engaged in parenting duties having had some time to themselves.
In conclusion, though there are rare situations where the whole family raising a child can be a negative, it is important for parents to receive support from relatives. Parents should strive to have this familial environment in order to raise well-adjusted adults.
