As expected yesterday, the enemy, having brought in units of the 92nd and 57th brigades from their reserves (to replace the units of the 125th territorial defense brigade that abandoned their positions), and concentrated several low-life “Kraken” battalions in the area, tried to carry out counterattacks in the morning with the aim of defeating and pushing back our advanced units in the Kharkov and Volchansk sectors.
This also forced us to bring reserves into the battle, which resulted in all of the enemy attacks being repelled. Moreover, by the middle of the day we resumed our pressure everywhere and, despite fierce resistance from the enemy, continued to put pressure on the enemy in the Volchansk area, where (this has already been confirmed today by the other side) street fighting continues.
Also, according to data from the enemy side, our forces are trying to cross the Volchya River east and west of the city. So far, the enemy has managed to hold us back here, but only at the cost of great effort and losses (a hundred FABs were dropped on Volchansk and the surrounding area in a day, and our artillery is working very hard against the enemy).
It is around Volchansk that the fiercest battles are currently taking place. The enemy, understanding the strategic importance of the settlement, is sparing no effort to hold it.
This scenario was in fact expected yesterday, taking into account the deployment of enemy reserves. Today, just like yesterday, I will say again that the next two days will largely decide the future fate of the border battle, with the front expanding literally every day.
The front now stretches for more than 50 km. According to our intelligence sources, the command of the Armed Forces of the Ukraine, having assessed the seriousness of our intentions (this no longer looks like just a buffer zone), began to transfer large reserves here from other sectors of the front, which of course will affect our advance in those places.
In general, I must reiterate that the enemy clearly does not have enough reserves and the expansion of the active front line by another 50 km (with the potential for its expansion by several hundred more) could become critical for the enemy.

Yesterday, even the enemy noted some new features of our offensive tactic, which was used in the Kharkov direction and which gave excellent results.
In the Donbass, where the battle formations are dense, and there are virtually no free zones that can be passed through without encountering serious resistance, we have to literally take out fortified areas and enemy strongholds with aviation and artillery. Hence the low speed of progress.
Near Kharkov, at least in the last two days, due to the low saturation of the front line with infantry from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, we have tried to bypass the enemy strongholds in small infantry groups, essentially surrounding them and forcing them to surrender without a fight. This became, among other things. the reason for the rapid advance and the large number of prisoners who fell into our hands.
At the same time, the enemy notes the good interaction of Russian military units on the battlefield. This makes it possible to carry out offensive operations to a sufficiently large depth without having to stop for a break and clarify the situation.
This is truly a completely new form of offensive for our army. We have never seen anything like this before.

Our advance units have entered the northern part of Volchansk and are slowly taking over it. However, this is not the main problem of the enemy command today.
Their main troubles are to the west, where we have already managed to break through their line of defense, which they have been building for the last several months, in several places at once. The units covering them, consisting of territorial defense troops, overwhelmed by our total superiority in artillery and aviation (more than 50 FABs have already been dropped on Volchansk alone and its environs) are not offering much resistance to us and often surrendering (abandoning entire areas, which we are quick to take advantage of).
In order to save the situation, the command of the enemy group was forced to throw their reserves into battle incrementally (as they arrived) earlier today.
In addition to the 92nd brigade, units of the 57th brigade entered the battle, as well as Nazi battalions from “Kraken” (which were always the last resort for the enemy command).
This made it possible to prevent the collapse of the front for now, but could not prevent our advance.
Also, because of the failures on the first day of fighting, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction was replaced, which plainly shows how irritated the country’s political leadership is with the situation on the ground (at the same time they are trying to put on a bold face, which no one believes anymore).
But getting back to the front... All the enemy’s attempts did not prevent our units from developing their morning success on the right (western) bank of the Seversky Donets and, having covered about 6-7 km in less than a day, they are now moving towards Rubezhnoye, thereby securing (if the plan is indeed to strike at the rear of Kupyansk) the right flank of our group advancing through Volchansk.
Volchansk itself, or rather the enemy’s defense line south of the city, is already being attacked by our artillery and aviation right now, which does not bode well for the enemy units there.
At the same time, there are no signs yet that we have brought our main forces into battle.

Our units, despite the calming reassurances of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command that they have everything under control, continued offensive operations in the second half of the day, both in the Kharkov sector and in the Volchansk sector.
It is near Volchansk that the situation looks especially alarming for the enemy, since by yesterday our forces had occupied the settlement of Zybino, where the bridge over the Volchya River was destroyed this morning. If we manage to establish a crossing and reach the southern bank of the river tomorrow, Volchansk will be doomed and the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to leave it so as not to be surrounded.
As I already mentioned, to the west, in the so-called “Kharkov” sector, we continue to move deep into enemy territory.
And yes, today it was reconnaissance in force. So far, only a few battalions are in action, smashing through enemy barriers and even taking prisoners (there were about 20 prisoners by lunchtime). At the same time, the enemy command declares that at a distance of no more than 10 km we have large forces concentrated here, which should probably enter the battle very soon.
