Where are my brothers... where are my brothers who rode the path of truth, and on it they left? Translated by MHFJ This is from the sermon of Imam Ali (AS) mentioned in Nahjul Balagha, sermon 182, in which he felt sorrowful and mentioned all of his beloved companions who were martyred. Sayyid Muhammad al-Hashimi is reminding us that if it wasn't for those that sacrificed their life, we wouldn't be able today to walk and take part of the Arbaeen March. Remember if your scholars aren't speaking about the oppression that's taking place in the world today then reevaluate who your listening to.

Arbaeen walk, a great example of what the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF) will look like Just like the uprising of Imam al-Husayn (AS), the main feature of Arba'een procession is the sincere participation of people in it. Also, during this march, a deep understanding and familiarity forms between the participants who are from different nations, religions, and walks of life, which brings about kindness and closeness of heart between them. This kindness, self-sacrifice, generosity, and empathy that people show towards each other during this walk, creates a scene which looks as if it belongs to the era after the advent of the Saviour. When Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF) will reappear, the people will experience such an enormous love coming from him towards themselves. They will have never had such an experience. The Imam (AS) loves people to the extent that their emotions and conditions affect him. The Imam (AS) may even become ill for this. After seeing a man whose face looked pale, Imam Ali (AS) said to him: إِنَّا لَنَفْرَحُ لِفَرَحِكُمْ وَ نَحْزَنُ لِحُزْنِكُمْ وَ نَمْرَضُ لِمَرَضِكُمْ وَ نَدْعُو لَكُمْ فَتَدْعُونَ فَنُؤَمِّنُ 'Truly, we become happy when you are happy and become sad when you are sad and become ill when you are ill. We pray for you and then you pray and we say: Ameen! (Basa'r al-Darajat, vol. 1, p. 280) Also, if we believe that the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF) is in line with the uprising of Imam al-Husayn (AS), then Arba'een procession would undoubtedly be a clear example of that. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cwta9n0tpTM/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei said to the group of Iraqi mawkib organisers who host and serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussain’s shrine during Arbaeen: "You Iraqi people have brought generosity, affection, and kindness up to the highest level during the period of Arbaeen Walk... What we hear about your tender attitude, dear brothers, in the mawakib located on the path [of Arbaeen march], toward the pilgrims of Imam Hussain’s shrine is unique in the world; just as the walk of Arbaeen is unique throughout history... You manifested the Islamic and Arabic benevolence in your attitude, by love of Imam Husayn (AS), you wash the feet of the pilgrims, and give them massages when they are extremely tired, and you provide them with beds. This love for Imam Husayn (AS) is an extraordinary phenomenon, with no similar example."
