Yamkela Seplan got an infection and developed a huge lump on the upper arm. The upper arm lump has been swelling since last year. The young girl has since dropped out of school due to her condition. Fishhoek police beating a person who says he called them to assist reporting a missing person. UPDATE The CPF is aware of the social media post and video being circulated on social media. We will be immediately raising the matter with SAPS to investigate. Update: Following reports by members of the public of possible Police Brutality, two members of the CPF Exco attended the station to check on the welfare of the individual concerned. The CPF was denied access to visit the arrested individual in the cells in order to establish their well-being, SAPS members on duty refused to take the social media post and video of the incident into evidence, and physically ejected both CPF members from the station. Police Brutality: Fish Hoek SAPS. A man who called police to report a missing person got involved in an altercation with police. According to the witness. They hit him until he went to the floor then carried on beating him with batons, even while he was down. Neighbours and passersbys where screaming for them to stop. The witness then called the Police station to ask for help, “and the Sergeant Nkuntla (not sure on spelling) says ‘there must be a perfectly good explanation why they are beating him’ to which he answered, ‘is it normal to be beating a person who is on the ground?’ the Sergeant then answered, 'maybe I'm not normal!" and he put the phone down. Is this really the way our police station handles matters, We are disgusted and shocked to say the least.
