I resigned from UK Column on Thursday 1st October with immediate effect. This was entirely my decision. I've been concerned about editorial standards and direction for some time. Despite significant efforts to influence things from inside the organisation, I finally concluded my best option would be to leave and explore other avenues for distributing my work. I am extremely grateful to Brian Gerrish, in particular, and Mike Robinson for inviting me to play a small supporting role in one of the most important investigative projects in the English language. I have written about Iain Duncan Smith's propaganda before but this, in the Telegraph, is mind-blowing. Trump, as if he could tie his own shoelaces, is undermining the Ukrainian "war" effort and Putin, as if he were in charge of Russian multinational energy companies, is making profits "he" will use to attack Ukraine. Let's get something straight, because Duncan Smith doesn't even mention it. The Russian government and its multinational partners are selling diesel to the US government and its multinational partners. The US contingent is financing the Ukrainian war effort "against" Russia. It is also supplying arms to Ukraine to kill Russians. What this story actually demonstrates is that both sides simply want to perpetuate the conflict and that neither side gives a shit about slaughtering human beings no matter which "side" those poor souls have been duped, or simply strongarmed, into dying for. Faced with this obvious reality, scum, like Duncan Smith, are doing everything they possibly can to keep the war propaganda chugging along, killing more and more everyday. Escapekey appears to have taken Hughes' disclosure as an attack on him.
