thank u Juniors for the responses..✨ I’ve received notices n updates from several medical colleges n two common points stood out: 1) NExT exam is applicable to 2021 batch. 2) ENT n Ophthalmology have been shifted to the final year. In the coming days, we’ll confirm these details more thoroughly. for now, my advice is to focus on studying Ophthalmology n ENT during ur third year n start preparing for the NExT exam..

explanation (Q.76) ans iv) reason: with rinnie test postive in both ears means either the hearing is normal or there is SN hearing loss i.e there is no conductive hearing loss. since, here weber lateralizes to right means that left ear has SN hearing loss as it cannot be conductive hearing loss of right side, rinnie being +ve. so diagnosis is left SN deafness & Schwabach can conform this. •In SNHL weber's lateralised towards the better ear because ambient noise entering through AC route ultimately goes through SN pathway and interferes with bone conduction sound transmission via same SN Pathway in the normal ear. . •In conductive hearing loss weber's is laterlised to worst ear because the above interfernce is being absent in conductive hearing loss there BC is better in affected ear i.e ear having conductive defect.. •Following are the routinely done tuning fork tests: i) Rinnie's test ii) weber test iii) ABC test iv) Schwabach's test v) Bing test vi) Gelle's test
