The story of Beowulf begins. We are excited to introduce the first three pieces in a new six-part art series by Runar Hall, inspired by the heroic imagery and artistic traditions of the early Germanic world. The series opens with: • Grendel’s attack on Heorot • Beowulf’s arrival in Denmark • The battle between Beowulf and Grendel Each piece captures a different moment from the legendary epic through detailed knotwork, mythic imagery, and a style inspired by the art of the old world. What is Galdor? In traditional Heathenry, Galdor is built around an ancient principle of chanting to bring about a desired result, i.e. sending intention to manifest a physical result. It is important to know that Galdor is different from ġebed or biðja (prayer). While praying directly asks the Gods for a specific outcome, Galdor acts as an indirect calling out to the very idea of what you wish to accomplish. There’s a common misconception today that Galdor means chanting the runes, but this idea isn’t in the sources. While Galdor was sometimes sang over runes, it’s not a runic chant. To be a curate, Galdor is a form of sacred singing that utilizes specific poetic meters, such as Galdralag, which is itself, a form of Ljóðahattr. Ultimately, Galdor is a divine gift that allows us to connect our ǫnd (breath and spirit) to the essence of the Gods, but we must be clear, Galdor is not Seiðr, which by is harmful black arts. ~ Folcweard https://linktr.ee/TheFrithstead

Been having tech issues with my internet and am leaning toward switching companies. This is the reason for the delay in posting the Fireside Ep. 7: Fate: Ørlǫg and Wyrd, on YouTube, Spotify, & Runble. I’ll continue posting content once lined out.

Frēagaldor - The Lord's Galdor Frēan bidde — freme þās bēne; I pray to the Lord — make this prayer work;   Frēan bere on brēoste — frōdne hyġe mē ġef. I bear the Lord in my heart — give me a wise mind.   Hlāf and hēlu — hald þū þissum hāme. Bread and healing — hold in this home.   Frīðes fruma, ferhsċeld — frōfre ġef þū; Source of Frith, life-shield — give me comfort;   Frēa, frōfre mē — frīðe ġefylle. Frea, comfort me — fill me with frith.   Sunnan sċīman sēċe — sēd and sēl. I seek sun-shine— seed and success.   Ġef mē ġesund ġēr — ġōde sibbe. Grant me a wholesome year — good peace.   Ġōde sibbe ġef mē — ġesund ġēr. Grant me good peace— a wholesome year.   Ġef mē sibbe and ġērġesund — sōðliċe sē. Grant me peace and a healthy year — may it be so. ~ An Anglo-Saxon Galdor; composed by Damon Domke, Sr., aka Folcweard

Dissecting the New Age ᛦ Due to popular demand from the Kvasir Commencement show & subsequent poll, we have the great folks at the Norrœna Society returning on the Pagan Revivalist Show to dissect the New Age! This will be a two-part show due not only to it's importance to address, but also how we can overcome New Age influences by using actual Traditionalist approaches with faith leaders. For the Dissecting the New Age show, we will go over: • Clearly defining the New Age. • Differentiating UPG et al from the New Age. • The history of the New Age, from Axiality to today. • Listing the elements of the New Age & tracing them back to their origins. This is a show a lot of people have been interested in & we are glad to make it actualized. Stay tuned to the channel for updates on the date & time of this anticipated show!

About to start

The show was really good, with those of us from The Norroena Society and Kvasir Academy going over questions and issues pertinent to our folk today and highlighting the need for professional Heathenry and standards. I encourage everyone to give it a listen when available.

The Pagan Revivalism show is still going live, so I'm going to delay The Fireside a few minutes, but no worries, it won't be too long.

Today’s the day! Tune into Pagan Revivalism’s channel at 2pm cst and The Frithstead’s channel at 6pm for a day full of quality content. First, Pagan Revivalism is hosting a roundtable discussion with the staff and graduating class of Kvasir Academy’s Ritual Course, then later, Folcweard will be discussing Fate: Örlög & Wyrd. From Fate to The Frith Model As we move from understanding the architecture of fate to living it, we must realize that we are not merely passive travelers on a road we cannot change. While our Örlög provides our path, the way we meet our wyrd depends entirely on the power of the observer within us. Conscious awareness is actually a creative force. When we stop simply reacting to events and start truly observing our thoughts and feelings, we begin to change our internal reality. This is the first step of what I call, The Frith Model, which teaches that what remains hidden and unconscious will run our lives like an puppet master pulling strings, but what is clearly seen can be re-patterned and mastered. By witnessing our thoughts and emotions before acting upon them, we order our minds to allow us to navigate the boundaries of our fate with clarity instead of confusion or frustration. ~ Folcweard, Lārġyfa https://linktr.ee/TheFrithstead

Kvasir Commencement ᚳ On Saturday, the 9th of May, join us live as we interview the first graduating class of the grand Kvasir Academy! For far too long has our grand revival dreamed of building our own higher level institutions for our spiritual leaders. Mark Puryear from the Norrœna Society changed that with Kvasir! Him & his team through decades of research launched Kvasir, which resulted in it's first graduating class to lead our folk back home, to make Pagan Revivalism Inevitable! This is a show you will not want to miss, as you will get the first glimpse at the future of Heathenry! After the interview we will be having a brief Q&A with you, the audience! So save the date, 05/09/26 @ 3pm eastern standard time! We will see you all there, as we give these amazing graduates their well-earned & well-deserved Kvasir Commencement!

Old English Ic mē mid Hruntinge dōm gewyrce, oððe mec deað nimeð. Nā ic mē an herewæpnum gesecge, sweordes ecgum, ac ic mid handgripum wiþ ond mid heardum clommum. Literal Modern English I shall with Hrunting work out glory (fame), or death shall take me. I do not reckon myself inferior in war-weapons, in the sword’s edges, but with hand-grips against him and with hard clutches. Beowulf and the monster Grendel by Rúnar Hall

Wyrd bið ful aræd! The Germanic concept of fate is that it’s fixed and neutral. In The Wanderer, our ancestors wrote that "Fate is fully fixed." While this might sound harsh to modern ears, this truth can bring a deep sense of peace. It teaches us that fate is not a "moral judge" that hands out rewards or punishments based on whether we are "good" or "bad, but in it’s neutrality, fate is "de-moralized," meaning every struggle we go through isn’t always a punishment for our mistakes and we shouldn’t be filled with consuming fear, dread, and guilt when we make a mistake. Instead, fate is simply the binding condition of existence; the sacred architecture of the world as it is. It is the rule set by which we play the game of life. When we stop looking at our hardships as if they are a "moral report card," we can stop feeling like victims of a cruel universe. We realize that the path is fixed not to hurt us, but to give the world order, balance, and stability. If a wall stands in your way, it isn't there because the gods are angry; it’s there because a house needs walls to stand. By accepting that our path is a structural reality rather than personal punishments, we can face our lives with a clear mind and a positive focus, which allows us to move past the question of "Why me?" and begin focusing on the far more important question: "How will I walk this path with courage and honor?" ~ Folcweard, Lārġyfa https://linktr.ee/TheFrithstead

My copy of Áldrrúnar arrived! I am very excited to crack it open and soak up the wisdom in its pages. Many years ago, I dreamt I was on a fjord, in a time long passed, watching my family home being burnt after Roman soldiers torched it and slaughtered our livestock. When all that remained was smoke and the scaffolding, I heard a voice say, “Rebuild around the framework you have. It will not look the same as before, but you have the structure that you need.” I believe Áldrrúnar is the framework recovered, which we can rebuild our traditions and our faith around. What Mark and the team have provided here is monumental for our people and posterity. It is all the most primary sources condensed into one coherent work, which we can pass down in an intelligible form to our children and grandchildren. Thank you, Norrœnna Society, for your years of toil to produce this outstanding work.
